From what I understand- a handful of natural psychedelics can cause vomiting (the most notable being ayahuasca). Many consider this a necessary part of the trip because it serves as cleansing the body of evil... or whatever. I know the reason people sometimes puke on shrooms is because your body sees it as a poison (the medulla oblangata in the brain controls vomiting) and wants it out of your body. I am not sure, but I think this is similar to the body's vomitive reaction to mescaline.. which I've been increasingly interested in ;) Basically- have you found a way to prevent vomiting on a mescaline trip? Maybe ginger added to the tea? Smoking weed with it? thanks:gorgeous:

ginger and some good bud really helps me, but sometimes I agree, you must clean yourself and the vomiting is doing that.

I wouldn't add ginger to the tea, but make ginger tea as a chaser.

Sometimes i don't vomit from eating cacti, and i don't use ginger or smoke herb during.
If you eat a strict diet the day of and don't eat 6 hours before eating the cacti no vomiting occurs. You will still get nausea but you are less likely to vomit up the cacti which is digested more easily in an empty stomach. I don't like to smoke herb until I am pretty much at the tail end of the experience some 12 hours after ingestion.
