my original appointment for my secondary pain doctor was supposed to be on the 24th, but due to the holidays they moved it up to today, i saw the assistant instead of the normal dr i usually see. She decides to Piss test me, so im thinking ok i should be good. I used 120mgs of Methadone between 12-9 and 12-13, from what i can remember my last dose of 10mgs was on the 13th, that would make 9 days from the last time i took methadone......The assistant comes back in and says with the urine test have you ever taking methadone, i replied not to my knowledge, she says ok, that it wasnt clear and that they would have to send it out.....will i be ok? or is it gonna come back positive?? will the time it takes to get sent out and come back help me???? Or am i screwed, she did say that termination may be a course of action. This is the very first time i have ever had any problems with a urine test here, going on almost 2 years. That is some serious bad luck, nine days.... shit that should be way out of your system.... You must have a very slow metabolism... You will likley get a dirty but like you say you have 2 years of clean records with them so I don't think they will cut you off. The second time it happens, then your F'd in the A.
Yea, that's amazing that there are still traces in your urine. Sorry to say but I'm sure it will come back positive. Hope that your reputation saves you. Good luck
I doubt they'll even send it out. Did you sign any chain of custody slips when you took the urine test? Did they seal the samples?
Methadone can be detected up to 12 days in some cases, usually no more than 4 though. You must have a low metabolism. Also you are fucked(sorry) the cut off rate for the screening is much higher than that of the confirmation. If anything deny deny deny, say you got drunk at a party(more so than you thought you should have) and someone may have slipped something in your drink. Also add some other things like people didnt like you and were possibly messing with you.
so, after running low on meds on friday.....i decided to roll the dice and go back to see the dr after my botched piss test. I called and scheduled an appointment for today, just to be sure that all the methadone was out of my system even though i havent taken any in about 15-16 days, lol i prolly could have went on friday when she told me that they had a opening on friday, but i had enough pills to get through the weekend, and really just felt better with the weekend under my belt just to make totally sure it was all out of my system...was a little nervous on how it would all play out as i sat there waiting unusually longer than usual, i was convincing myself that something was going down, that i was gonna be cooked/done at this drs office, blood pressure rising and stomach turning, lol.......finally get called in and i decided to play it cool.....dr comes in shakes hands happy new year and all that jazz....sits down and reviews notes from last time, mentions something about seeing "her" the medical assistant last time, and asks how things are....yada yada yada.....whips out the script pad and asked if my Ambien was still working, i said yes sir and mentioned that i didnt get them refilled last time and that i dont always take them but like to have them just incase.....which is the truth. So after 15 minutes in there i had my scripts, 100 10mg percs and 45 mg opana Er's and 45 10 mg ambien.....and not a mention or hint of the failed piss test prior, so i guess no news is good news????? I assume that either he missed it in the notes as he skimmed over them, or she failed to write that down, and i guess they didnt send the test out as the medical assistant said they were going to do.... Any ideas of why nothing was mentioned????? I got another Dr appt on friday too with my primary paing management dr.......looks like im doubling up this week, lol which is good, seeing as how i always run out, which i always say i wont next time but this time i do have a plan in the works to make sure i dont run out. we shall see how it works!!!!!!! even if i could manage to make it a day or 2 before my appointment, this 7, 8, 9 days before it and running short is getting old and is pretty pathetic considering the amount of shit i get, lol..... thanks for reading all this mess, lol been awile since i posted and thought i would make it a good one, plus i got my meds up in me and no one to talk to so i guess im babbling on this keyBoard, lol. no i didnt sign anything when i took it, and i think she put a sticker thing on the top of the cup, cant recall tho....
PC, good to see you came out of this without any negative reprocussions. Im just wondering how you are getting away with having more than one pain management Dr.....
i started seeing this doctor for my back then i tore my foot and ankle up....i had a sleeping problem, i fell asleep standing up in my kitchen and i fell, when i fell, i tore some ligaments in my leg and foot, dislocated toes, severely sprained my ankles and tore my back up worse, going into see the surgeon i told him i was in pain management, and that my PM dr was going to let the surgeon take care of the pain meds post surgery......so after the surgery he eventually said that i was to far past "post surgery" for him to continue filling my script. We talked and he suggested pain management and said that he would give me a referral to a PM doc. I had intended on seeing which would give the most medicine and drop the other, but it was too good getting double the scripts....and i always made sure that i was never prescribed the same meds at either doctors for insurance purposes.....i was later diagosed with RSD in my right foot and ankle which is nerve damage, and the one tendon that pulled so hard it didnt tare, but it took a chunk of bone off instead was never fixed, and arthritice in my left foot....i am now in the process of checking my back out..im a big guy and i work construction so my feet are constantly aching, along with my back....i have lost almost 60 pounds, although i feel better, my aches still dont, but am working on that aspect.....that is the story, lol
any ideas of what went down????? am i going to have to worry the next time i go to the doc???? this is my first experience with a failed test.....will i be pissed more now???? thanks in advance!!
well i think since you get diff meds from each doc that a piss test will be something u will have to be worried about in the future.
same meds Bottle, just different strengths.....20 mg opanas and 15 mg oxy, from one doc, 10mg opanas and 10mg percs from the other, even though they are the same medicine the strengths are not the same so the insurance company doesn't kick it back saying you just got these filled 4 days ago....
as previously stated earlier in the thread, i have came up with a plan not to run out of my meds like i do every month, it just gets so old, sneaking around finding them, and being sick if i cant, or taking methadone to wait out the final few days and then getting piss tested 9 days after last dose and coming up dirty....TO MUCH DRAMA.....so after 5 days and 6 nights since my appointment i figured i would let everyone know where i stood!!!!!!!!
