The original poster referred to the Ten Commandments, which has little to do with the touchy-feely new-testamenty Christ-conciousness 21st Century God you refer to in your post. The Ten Commandments God was one harsh deity, especially in reference to women. If someone wants to live in that sort of culture today, they'd need to go live in one of the fundamentalist Islamist countries, like Afghanistan. Good luck with that!
