What about Godrick? Anyone else think he was a great character? I thought so and i fully expect to see him back in the series either as a flashback to Eric's past or as some form of supernatural reincarnation. Everyone was expecting to find a totally evil motherfucker, like from last season when Bill was on trial, the guy who was trained in the spanish inquisition. But then it turns out he is not only as kind as Jesus but young, like some greek philospher or something, and enlightened. I guess in those days folk only lived until mid 30 anyway. i thought all the shit with eric was really corny, but I loved the scene where he died, he was all like well I've been here for 2,000 years, I've pretty much seen it all, time to move. No fear of death, only anticipation. I'm sure he has had his fair share of lesbian adventures, probably sick of the taste of fanny by this time I reckon... Ball is really taking the whole vampire thing to a new level. And what was all that shit with Eric lusting over the two children, and making suggestions that their blood was somehow more lustful. Did anyone else pick up on that? It was done in such a way to either be taken as playfulness or something more sinister, because the whole vampire thing is already steeped in sexual reference. Alan Ball has always been quite daring in exploring the nature of the human being and sexuality in all its form, and True Blood is taking that to an even more complex, pantheist incarnation. The whole thing I think is a euphism for humanity and sexuality. Again he brings us cutting edge television that challenges society and it's morals, and I truly commend him for it.
Godrick was a truly amazing character (and hot). I think its a bit of a shame that he didn't stay in the series for longer to be honest. I'd have really enjoyed seeing much more of him.
