Anyone ever heard of it or taken it? It's been used experimentally to help people detox from opiates but it's an extremely strong psychedelic. It supposably hits you over the head with a bat and exposes you to God and all your flaws etc, and ELIMINATES the withdraws of opiates because the chemicals are suppose to reset your brain... Anyone taken this before?
Growing Up - A Once in a Lifetime Profound Experience w/Iboga root bark read this report,, .. only had the chance to do it once myself, many years ago. not enough .. but well enough to remember it.. I like to do it again. As I recall, its like watching the TV set of your life., very vivid and clear..
Houston Press did an article on Ibogaine in November, interesting read for sure: http://www.houstonpress.com/2010-11-18/news/shock-the-junkie/
I've been interested in iboga/ibogaine for a LONG time. The trip is supposed to be one of the most introspective experiences a person can have, and it also induces a ridiculous amount of nausea and can be very hellish. http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/ibogaine/ibogaine.shtml
The problem with psychedelics. The medical community wants to make money.. when there is no Money to be made from It./ They lose sight the fact these are spiritual drugs. Sure you can spend money to save your soul.. But what does the medical community know about your/our souls? They are no GODs.. They may pretend to be .. The point Im really trying to make here. In the middle of the Jungle, Shaman has no need for dollar bills but would like to send you on a spiritual journey.... Dont cost a thing really but your time.. One must face their demons in the spirit and awake world with open eyes./ ????? Many these treatments are under Sedation.???? How is a person going to wake up, if they are asleep?.. Some the reports and studies are probably flawed in some way or another. The biggest flaw I see right now is its EXPENSE, and the fact these treatments are not available to everyone..:banghead:
i watched something on netflix where a heroin addict gets ibogaine treatment in mexico. it "worked" for awhile, but soon enough he was back on the needle. the trip seemed pretty intense from the little bit they showed of him experiencing it.
yeah.. uh.. no money to be made in pyschs... thats why you can get $5-10 for L.. and $50 for an 1/8th of mushies.. or even up to $20 for a dose of 2cx.. pharmco's are stupid for not using psychedelics
Both obviously^^ I have been fascinated by this wonder drug as well for a while. No clue how I can stumble upon it.
It suppose to be for both the experience and the help with withdrawals. They say it will chemically reset your brain, and the experience will also make you look long and hard at the wrong doings that you did while being a junkie. I watched that movie on Netflix too! It's definitely not a cure-alll for addiction, I think that guy relapsed because he didn't go to support groups and didn't choose to move and just went back to his own stomping ground. Ibogaine helps reduce/remove withdrawals but without support you're just going to relapse 99% of the time.
This chemical has not been approved by the FDA because it shows people themselves and their problems and rights and wrongs, and therefore is a dangerous narcotic. You are all junkie heathens, pretending things that have NOT BEEN APPROVED BY THE FDA are medicine. Not to mention that plants are NOT medicine, we already gave you fucks marinol, be quiet already.
I took ibogaine many years ago for the first time. It changed my life, I was one year clean from heroin, when I took it and my cravings for heroin have never came back. not to mention I made some significant changes to my life for the better bc of it. It made me see m life on llike a theater screen, and showed me what was wrong, and how to fix it. IT was AMAZING!!! the nausea at first was awful, but it was so worth it. I highly recommend it.
