Considering moving to this area, where my gf will go to school for her masters. I hear it is huge, 40,000 people, and close to DC. Can you live here without a car? How is public transportation? Is UMD located in a good, safe place? How is cost of living? Thanks for any help! Also looking to network with people in the area!
