A friend of mine is in the States ATM and she is bringing me some Dr. Bronner's bar soaps when she gets back to South Africa. Well... she would be if she knew where to get them!?!?!? So, which shops in the States sell them over the counter?
Dr. Bronners now uses hemp oil in its products and is a big supporter of cannabis legalization. I think the son David is the one doing the pushing. I met him once at the OB People's food Co-op when he was doing a demo of Dr. Bronners, right when they switched to hemp oil... I REALLY, REALLY miss their concentrated vegetable broth! That was the best! Can't find it anywhere anymore... Ah, I looked it up and guess what? Dr. Bronner's Mineral Bouillon was discontinued when Dr. Bronner died, and took the secret recipe with him to the grave!
I found some in a small independent whole-foods scam emporium in a particularly bohemian area of Birmingham (well, near one anyway) it's the only time I've ever seen it retail. You can get it on ebay from UK sellers, but then you miss out on the chance to have a small bottle of liquid soap marketed to the environmentally concerned shipped halfway round the world by airmail.
