well, i've been getting home and just falling asleep for hours after school due to super burn outs i get. my mom thinks that a teenager should have more energy than that.. so she wants me to take a blood test to see what vitamins i need to take and what not..

now is there any chance they'll be able to find the THC in that test if they're not exactly looking for it specifically..
    ??

they thing is i wanna know, because even though i think i'd have enough time to detox before this "test" i still got some kron, and if i can avoid stoping it would be best.

    . . . . .
    questions:

how long does thc stay in your bloodstream.?
to find the thc, do they have to specifically look for it, or will it just show up even if they test for something different

Sounds like your mom wants a blood panel. Sounds like she's onto you. And if she's not, she'll be set onto you, when the doctor listens to the symptoms of smoking pot, and privately tells her it will be a lot cheaper to just get a pot test, than a full plethora of blood tests.

And I think your mom's right.

the amount of time it stays in your bloodstream depends on how often you smoke. if its infrequent it can be gone in a week, if your like a daily smoker it can take up to 48 days. also the thinner you are the quicker its gone since thc metabolizes in fat cells

Depending on where you live, if you tell your doctor that you do not wish for your test results and medical information be released, they can not even release it to a parent.

Here by 14 a dependent/minor can request this.

Down side is that it tends to be a flag to both parties.

I don't think a blood test given to you by your doctor will test for drugs at all, unless your mom is trying to trick you and specifically requests it. Since you think it is unlikely that your mom would do this, i don't think you have anything to worry about.

A regular CBC blood test does not look for drugs. It measures iron and other stuff and is basically a test for abnormalities or deficiencies in the blood. Your mom may be thinking you are anemic. BUT...if she is suspicious, she may be telling you she has asked the doctor for a CBC but actually requested a tox screen, which would indicate drugs. If she really wants to drug test you, home drug tests are available everywhere now. There are ways to beat a urine test, but I think you are too young to know about that. A hair test, which is sent to a lab for analysis, is very difficult to beat, despite claims to the contrary by manufacturers of kits to "cleanse" the hair. I've never known of these to work.
Just straighten up, get through school and go on to college. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.
