I had never really thought of pole dancing as a potential olympic event, or performing art, or a marvel of the human body's capabilities before. but when you see the pros at it, it's really amazing -- and yes, a little arousing -- to watch! so is pole dancing just a way for women with debatably low self respect to make money by exploiting themselves and or horny guys... OR is it a way to combine sexuality and athleticism in a way that should be respected and revered? i'd love to hear what people think about this! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXaDvcXTwJA&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2H1zjRU8hBo
Looks pretty insane, Those are STRONG ladies... The cutting is annoying as hell, they don't even leave individual stunts unbutchered... what the FUCK is that? Hard to get an idea of what they're really doing if they only show three second clips of them upside down ten feet off the ground. *edit* indian video is much better, as far as editing goes. And for the most part, much more impressive.
I think so. The video below was posted here months ago by another Member, but I'm posting it here now cuz of the :drool5: factor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ini-qLYsLYA"]YouTube - Pole Art - First pole dance video - pole art practice (Original)
I never tried it myself but it seems you need to be really strong to do it. Especially with stuff like hanging upside down. And it also seems to give you a great work out, burning loads of calories.
yeah, sorry, i could've chosen a better video to make my point i'm sure. that video Justin_Hale posted was just amazing! it's so beautiful and fluid and feminine without being raunchy. at no point did i have the urge to put money in her underwear. thar being said, i think you could make anything an olympic sport by adding 9 inch spike heels.
As a heterosexual girl who likes going to strip-clubs, I think it's amazing. I'm very into body modification because I like the idea of being able to control your body and pole-dancing is a great example of that. I wish I knew a better term because whenever I use the term, "body modification", people tend to think tattoos and piercings, but I'm talking about everything. Becoming super fat, super build, super skinny, dancing, tattoos, piercings, plastic surgery, becoming Ken, becoming Barbie, getting the perfect symmetrical face and body, etc. All that is awesome to me. And I think all of the examples I stated above takes great skill that these people who have these skills have put a lot of time and effort to develop. Yes, all of the examples above do have negativity, but I think it depends on the person. Some people are doing these things because they have mental issues and some aren't. As for us, the observers of these skills, some of us do have negativity and others don't. So, again... it depends. Personally, I would love to learn how to pole-dance and I don't think it has anything to do with sex.
