Stop brushing and running fingers through about a year ago in feb. Starting washing with JR Liggetts bar soap for first few months, used bronners for a while, realized it was leaving residue, or castile oil or whatever you want to call it, and I have naturally very staight, very thin, soft and silky hair, so that wasnt really working well so I switched back to bar soap about a month ago and its been better since them. Dont do much ripping anymore, only pulling some hairs that are getting sucked into a far away dread. My whole head is pretty much congos, waitin for lenghth... I started with short hair
Ah thanks guys! I put a bead over the big congo in the middle the other night so it would weigh it down some. Its hard to tell but it consists of like 5 micro dreads. I will get more pics up later when I have access to cam again. Thanks for the warmth guys.
Awesome mess. How I wish that I could go neglect as I planned... Heh, love my dreadies too much too comb them out and start over now. Keep it up!
damn, first set of dreads I've seen with a hair type that resembles mine and you even started neglect with short hair like me I'll be watching this thread, they look good man
This gives me hope. I might comb out the rest of my crocheted "dreads" and have them go all natural like the ones in the back of my head. I dont know if I have enouh patience to come them out though /:
I been called "salon dreads" been told to cut, told my hair type would never dread. Just shows me how ignorant some people are. I dont even respond to comments like that I just smile and say something like "oh yeah?" funny too cause only dread heads have told me this
same with me also i like to know how you wash it with that bar i have short hair also im almost at 2 months in and i use bronners and it sucks so i use bicarb and sea salt
