    1. I'm not looking for a high here, just anxiety relief.

    2. I have never (before the scripts) been on these types of drugs at all.

Here goes, first i was prescribed Lorazepam, .5 now this little (one pill) as prescribed, did wonders for my anxiety... for about 4 doses. so i tell the doc and we go to 1.0, well they worked ahh a lil bit, so i took it upon myself to up the dose, and i went (kinda drastically i guess) more than prescribed, took 6 of em, and nope no effect at all. so i go to

Klonopin, 1.0 and these didn't do one thing for me, even dramatically upped the dose, nope. didn't help.

and then Valium, now if i take like 5 to 10 of these ( depending on the strength) they will help with anxiety. what doc writes prescriptions of 5 to 10 pills x times a day?

and xanax, just dosen't do a thing.

so, i guess i just have a natural tolerance to them. plus they are only for short term, and are addictive soo.

any alt. to these any of you use for anxiety? dosen't have to be pills, but considering this is the pharm. forum, im not gonna be suprised for those recommendations as well.

okay well any suggestions are appreciated, peace.

yeah you must have a natural heavy tolerance to benzos.

uhm.. some things you can do...smoke marijuana/cigarettes, alcohol, green tea is great, exercise, eat healthy...

maybe order some phenazepam and find an effective dose? be careful with it though, from what ive heard its potent and can cause bad blackouts if you take too much

yeah, phenazepam is actually one of the best benzos for anxiety, but very, very fucking dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. It's really cheap and has a two-dayish halflife, so you only dose once every two days. At .5-3mg, depending on tolerance, you won't feel it, and it definately won't give any euphoria/high, but it should help a lot with anxiety. The only effective way to thereapeutically dose phenaz is diluted in propylene glycol, 1-3mg every two days. I wonder why they haven't made this shit into pills, it would actually be a good medical benzo if people could dose it properly and it didn't come in powder. The only problem is if you overdose (which is fucking easy), you'll have a several day long blackout, where you don't even know you're fucked up and you'll end up doing really effed up shit.

well phenazepam is a benzodiazepine, but it's legal and cheap to order and I think it might suit your needs much better than the other benzos you've been scripted. nothing really works as well for anxiety as benzos afaik (in terms of drugs, not herbal stuff, don't know as much about that), but this is a much better one for longer term anti-anxiety use.

i've lost faith in doctors. self-medication is the only way to actually control symptoms. doctors think you're drug seeking for wanting benzodiazepins, or when the tiny doses don't help, then they want to put you on some bunk ass shit.

Freedom Man, I have sever anxiety and bumped around on a bunch of different drugs about 15 or so overall, luckily xanax works well for me but my doc doesn't want me to be on benzos my whole life. If you are really looking for anxiety relief you should try therapy it is hit of miss but if you find a good doctor they can really help you work through it and get to the root of the anxiety; therapy is the only thing that reduces my panic attack, xanax just gets me through them.

yeah i fuckin hate doctors sometimes...

like i said the lorazepam worked fucking great i mean GREAT but i got a tolerance, really quick...

so why couldn't you give me a lil more man? me taking my personal amount needed gives the same effect on the person you gave the accepted dose to, but we just got different chemistry and tolerance...

i honestly think we shouldn't need prescriptions, i think we should be able to go to a pharmacy and just say i need x drugs for pain, anxiety, high blood pressure whatever because i find it works best, and pay them the amount for your monthly supply. fuck prescriptions.

maybe try SSRI's instead of benzos. theyre for longterm treatment and act on a different part of the brain.

Ask your doc of Risperidone, it's an anti psychotic but works wonders with anxiety, almost completely cured my panic attacks while driving, that or Abilify, expensive though.

As cheesy as it sounds, I actually feel like Effexor (an antidepressant of the SNRI class) is way way more effective for general anxiety than benzos, of which I am prescribed as well, but rarely use since the Effexor. I used to bash on antidepressants ALL the time, but this one actually works. And it isn't just a few hour buzz, but rather a total shift of your thinking patterns towards the more realistic outlook on life.
