Seriously though, I wonder if humans ever had a seasonal reproductive cycle. Or have we always been like we are now?

 

Being born in September I'm thinking it has to do with Christmas and New Years.

 

9 months before July is.... November.... I imagine if we had one it would be in late spring... but most of the world is inside and bored during the winter... so there you go!!!

 

My birthday is in october, my dads is in january.

Human reproductive cycle is lunar. Not tied to mating season, which is a solar season.
A solar based reproductive system must rely on seasonal abundance, meaning also, confinement to a particular zone. The lunar cycle provides a fertile period every month, so we do not require long mating migrations or the coincidence of male rut and female estrus. Lunar cycle means anytime anywhere.

 

More babies are born in August than any other month.

 

There is something about spring that lends to the idea of a mating season. I think it's because all the titties and legs start coming out after months of hibernation.

 

seems to be a lot of november birthdays. this just proves that valentine's day was created around humanity's natural mating season.

 

For me it's summer. Just seeing legs all over town...you know, I like it sticky.

I'm not sure about a mating season but I do know I have 4 daughters with 2 different women and with each woman 1 was born in October and 1 in May and in both cases the birthdays are a week apart.

 

I think it's late summer. Early summer people are still waking up, their sexual energies are still building up. I always feel the horniest in mid to lat summer after I've got loads of sun and been out hill walking and sweating and getting the old energies flowing.

Has anybody checked to see if more people are born in a certain time of the year than another? (per hemispehere obviously)
