Anybody planning a trip to Las Vegas anytime soon? I am new to the biard and just wanted to see if anybody wanted to chat about Vegas, whether you are a resident or plan on visiting. Thanks and have a good day.
I live in Las Vegas but going to the stip from where I live is like taking a trip to Vegas every time.
I live in Summerlin at the 215 & W.Sahara. I'm around the corner from where they are building Red Rock Station Casino. My apartment complex is across the street from that dirt lot on the Sahara side, not Charleston. I absolutely love it up there. Although the only downside is that I could probably never afford a house with the area being so ritzy.
Tell me about it! I used to work construction. (Before my Heart Attack) And we did some CUSTOM homes up there. 3 Million for a 4 bdrm house? But then, we're talking gold plated bathroom fixtures. Like the faucet, Tub spout & Controls. Never mind, all the Marble floors, that were heated! The cheaper ones, are the "Cookie Cutter" ones up around Town Center. Where the Circles are.
Yeah, what the hell were they planning when they decided to put round-abouts everywhere!? Those things are stupid but I guess it gives the area a touch of European elegance, or that's what I'm told anyway. And I know exactly what you're talking about as far as that whole area goes. My boyfriend's manager lives in a house down the street from us and it's a tiny little thing that of course is bumped up two inches from his neighbors house and it was over $250K. As far as renting in that area goes I was pleasantly surprised that it fell within the range of most complexes. In my opinion renting here is outrageuos anyway due to the cost of living, with the exception of living on or near the strip where it is significantly less expensive. But if you went further northwest or south or anything the rent is all the same. So that's nice, as long as you rent you can almost afford to live anywhere.
Yeah. I think the Euopean influence is what they were going for up there. Ever been to Mnt. Charleston???
Actually I went there for the first time not this past weekend but the one before it. And I don't really think we ended up on Mt Charleston but another Mt instead. But the drive over was beautiful and we went up over 8,000 feet in elevation and the view was incredible. We had gone over there because I got new tires for my car and we were test driving them. I intend to go skiing there this winter since we didn't make it last year though.
