Where are all the whitehouse women at? Is it because you is only half black dat you ain't legalised it yet bro?
Holy jesus, what a joke. The joke is a joke. These people are jokes, and are an embarrassment to humanity! I find that deeply offensive. Millions of people are calling for the legalisation of MJ, based on an encyclopedia of evidence in favour of this, and all they can do is laugh. Fucking SHEEP! Braindead, brainwashed fucking moronic SCUM! And Obama... how fucking dare he make a mockery of the issue like this. Fuck off and die you half wit ****!
That's odd, because I remember him saying this before he was elected. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQr9ezr8UeA&feature=related"]YouTube - Barack Obama on Marijuana Decriminalization (2004) Just another fucking politician saying whatever he has to to get elected...
Just reposting this in case anyone clicks on 'last page' of the thread instead of going to the first; This Thursday, January 27, 2011 Obama will be doing a live interview on youtube. He wants Americans to vote on the questions they want asked. Almost every other time a public input question roster has been done a question regarding cannabis has been number 1. He may not answer it, but why not vote (I'm not sure if actual voting is involved) to have it number one again. There's a chance he'll bring it up and it'll show him once again that Americans are greatly concerned about their right to medicate and use cannabis. Go here to get involved and ask/vote for a cannabis question; https://www.youtube.com/worldview It's important that people make sure the topic at least gets acknowledged. Let them laugh, shrug it off. One day it's going to get to the point where they can't just laugh it off anymore, and that's what really matters. Every nudge is a push in the direction we want it to go.
If anyone noticed in Orison's video that Obama mumbled, "I'm not sure what that says about the online crowd," after stating that cannabis was the number one asked topic. Not only is that a good way to alienate your potential voters, it's also kind of stupid considering the fact that he's going back to the "online crowd" with this youtube interview thing this coming Thursday.
I have an idea as to how we can all promote the same message; On that Obama interview youtube page https://www.youtube.com/worldview at the top there's a box where people can ask a question. Right underneath it there is a box where one can also put a link to a video. Post this video in that video link box; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQr9ezr8UeA&feature=player_embedded"]YouTube - Barack Obama on Marijuana Decriminalization (2004) And in the message box ask him why he never came through on what he said in that video, did he only say it to get elected, why has he let down a large part of his supporters, things to that effect. Then if we happen to see questions attached to that video floating around we can vote for them. They'll be easy to spot with the video attached. Also, it would look good if everyone added; "Legalize & Regulate" and "End the drug war" at the bottom of their questions. Edit: The number of letters one can use in the question is limited. I wrote out a great question until I realised that I was 200 characters over the limit and had to shorten it. Anyways, here's my question, if you see it vote for it (should be with the Obama video) :2thumbsup: "Mr President, in 2004 you stated that "the war on drugs has been an utter failure," and that "we need to rethink and decriminalize our marijuana laws." Why aren't you coming through on these statements and supporting the decriminalization cannabis?"
Honestly the whole thing is irrelevant since for the past 20 years state and federal governments have basically come to an unwritten agreement that state law can overturn federal law in regards to marijuana and the feds aren't going to battle it in court.
^ yes. Also obama would just give some round about answer, He doesn't really make a clear statement in that video, i mean there is alot he could say to just go around what we want to hear. It would be extremely easy for him to turn that video into something else then what we think. All he really says is ok decriminalize marijuana, and makes changes to the war on drugs, the last part could really mean anything *edit* I do think the fact that you have actually spent time to research and come up with an educated question is a good thing, i will look for it and vote for it, even if obama won't fairly answer it.
As I stated though, the most important thing, in my opinion, is that he and others know that the issue of cannabis is a very popular one, if not the most popular. It's not about "change your mind today!" or "give us our weed", it's simply that they know that it is a pressing issue and is in the forefront of important issues for Americans. It tells them that we won't quit bringing it up or talking about it until it gets properly addressed and some form of change with regards to cannabis takes place. No one is simply going to go, "You know what, fuck it, pots legal! There you go America, smoke your brains out." It's a matter of nudge after nudge after nudge until some ground is made. To be honest I could potentially care less whether or not it's legalized in the US, I'm Canadian. However right now our Prime Monster is a nazi who's trying to put kids and medical marijuana users in jail and we do not get the opportunity to have him address cannabis; a matter which he flat out refuses to address except for the ludacris bill he is hoping to get passed. Even though our laws are mostly very lax when it comes to pot, it just gets swept under the rug here (with the exception of BC), not openly discussed and so I find American discussion of it exciting because it gets it out in the open.
Also consider that a lot of the world actually follows America's lead concerning drugs, or at least have been coerced into doing so. So if America were to legalize cannabis I'm certain you would see a domino effect take place world wide, Canada being most likely one of the first to be influenced. And no, I'm not saying Canada mimics America, just that given the amount of pressure the U.S. exerts in matters concerning drug laws is one of the reasons you have a Prime Monster taking the action he is.
That's one of the reasons I care about the issue as much as I do. Stephen Harper is very cozy with the US, he was extra cozy with Bush jr. There's no doubt that he is trying to turn us into a USA #2. To be honest when he is gone I'd say that Canada has a much better shot at at least decriminalizing cannabis than the US does. It happened once in the recent pass due to a loophole and the Liberals before Harper were going to decriminalize 30 grams I believe. We likely might see legalization before the US.
There's no way you can consider this man a man of the people if he doesn't address the question this time around. The top 200+ (I stopped counting) questions are all about weed, hemp, or the drug war in general. So many people care about the issue, I don't see how he can avoid it!
