we're thinking about moving to a trailer park there. it must have at least 20 empty, for sale trailers.. who else wants to move there and take it over?? hippie-ize it!
I've only been to Davis once for some outdoor arts/crafts festival I think. Nice town. Not going to live in a trailer again... Been there done that!
cool.. might have been the whole earth festival they have every may. i lived in an rv in an rv park.. wasn't too bad, but i can understand not wanting to live in one.
I've visited Davis many times; it's about 70 miles from where I live. I've been there mostly on business. But the nature of the business left me a little time to kill. So I used to walk/drive around town. I thought it was a real nice town, and it would probably make a good place to live, if....you find living near a university enjoyable. Lots of multiple-tenant homes, bars, restaurants, galleries & shops. Always nice to have a university library nearby! Davis is kind of weirdly placed, right in the middle of a big agriculture area along the freeway from Sac to SF - strip malls, dealerships, chain restaurants. Just improves the town's charm though. Great equine veterinary facility! Damned hot in Summer...
OK--forget the Cajun festival then. What in the world is the name of the town where the velodrome is located in Orange county--left over from the olympics??
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Velodrome i don't know.. i don't think there is one here, even though this is a very bicycle friendly town. it's more of a commuter bicycle town though.
OK--now I see. I was thinking of Carson which has the velodrome and was used for the olympics in LA. And hosted the Cajun festival. Dang me.
