A simple maths sum

    im confused... why is it suppose to be a trick?? i got 4100 too.. i added the odd numbers first.. then i added the thousands together.. then added the two :)

    I didn't separte when I added and thought it was 5000 at first.

    100% of the people I tried this on with a piece of paper called 5000..there are an unbelievable amount of genii on this site...it truly is amazing! :2thumbsup:

    haha weird... i actually didnt cheat and look at the answer.. im quite honest :)

    maybe you have to add it in that certain order so that it tricks your mind into thinking its 5000
