desoxypipradrol; perfect ADHD drug, or the hell of all hells?

so tomorrow morning, i intend to dose 1mg oral of desoxypipradrol in the morning, with a meal, then head off to class.

if you read the thread on bluelight [http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=474414], you probably think it sounds like hell.

personally, i've struggled with what 2 psychiatrists have described as "Severe Adhd" my entire life, and would MUCH rather medicate myself [to get all of my bullshit general ED classes done] with something i can weigh out on MY own scale, and have control of MYSELF, than support big pharma.

i figure that i've been off and on of time release methylphenidate and amphetamine for 5 years now [mostly off], with no problems with addiction, and ZERO desire to redose in the same day, so i think it may work out alright...i figure desoxy's long half life is like a built in time release [that should act similarly to the complicated time release matrix in an XR methylphenidate tablet]

i'll report back tomorrow with the results...wish me luck! i've got about 50mg of diazepam in case of a severe anxiety attack, and lots of diphenhydramine in case of a severe histamic reaction.

Dosed 1mg desoxypipradrol measured in liquid, dropped on a fortune cookie at 10:10am, ate 2 tangerines then walked to school [about a 40 minute walk]. I noticed a mild onset similar to methylphehidate within about 15 minutes. Possible increase in perspiration, but it was a warm sunny day, and I was walking with a heavy bag of books.

By the time my class started [11:00am], the effects became fully apparent. Mildly increased attentiveness, and very mild stimulation on par with 5mg of adderall IR, or ~9mg of methylphenidate [it should be noted that i am generally fairly sensitive to stimulants]. Not much in the way of a bodyload [which I do get from methylphenidate].

The one thing that REALLY bothered me was my extreme runny nose; since I have horrible indoor and outdoor allergies, it’s impossible to tell if this was due to the desoxypipradrol or not…

Had no problem eating lunch at 12:35 [in fact I was actually STARVING]

It’s now 1:30pm, and I’m still feeling mild effects, which seem to be mostly cognitive, with only traces physical stimulation. Feeling no anxiety at all, but I seem to have “come down” a little. No noticable increase in heart rate, or blood preassure [though i have no way to test this ATM]. No desire to redoes whatsoever.

I’ll see how the rest of the day plays out, but as it stands, I definitely intend to use this compound again for the same purpose…this does doesn’t seem to be as effective for adhd as an equally low dose of dextro-amphetamine [which I find to be the most effective attentiveness aid I’ve tried].

Though the compound aided my note taking, 1mg didn’t seem to be quite enough, I think I’ll wait a few days, and try 1.5-2mg.

desoxypipradrol seems it would have an excellent purpose in treating ADHD.

from my experience with it, recreational use of it is just asking to get FUCKED over by sleep deprivation. 15mg within the space of an hour had me up for 4 days, with the comedown being the absolutely worst feeling I've ever had in my life - I don't want to attempt to even describe how bad it was.

I've had really fun experiences with lowish doses (5mg) ontop of some benzos..

 

i'm left wondering if this is the "desoxy" that Alice had an adverse reaction to that lasted weeks...time to crack open the ol' PiHKAL

 

So it’s now 7:20pm [just over 9 hours after the initial dose], i’m still riding out the physical stimulation, and starting to get a bit spacey. I’m definitely experiencing some mild dopamine comedown effects, almost exactly like methylphenidate.

My appetite is definitely different, but i’ve found myself to be extremely hungry at about the same points in the day that I normally eat my meals.

Honestly, it’s hard for me to tell how far off of baseline I am, seemingly because the compound’s timeline is so slow.

All things considered, I’ve had a fantastic day! i didn’t get very “high” from the material, and I also have yet to experience any of the “bitchiness” that amphetamines or methylphenidate. I think that .5mg tablets could work wonders on a person suffering from treatment resistant depression, because it would be an extremely subtle mood lift.

This could be the subtle adhd medication I’ve been searching for these past 5 years!

…just waiting to see how sleeping goes later…

 

it's been almost 13 hours [now 11:00pm] and i feel like i MIGHT able to sleep if i tried...though i normally don't sleep until about 3am, so it should be fine.

a bit out of it now, but no worse than a low dose of any other stimulant.

to sum up my feelings: it worked nicely, but i don't want to do this very often.

i think i'll try 1.5-2mg next week

Nice report man. I love to see our forum actually doing stuff. Which is why I do the acid tests and pictures and stuff.

It seems like people on HF don't so TRs very often. Or tests of any kind really. Just do it then talk about how its good or bad. ty!

Desoxyn is the pharmaceutical name for methamphetamine. Same way adderall is for amphetamine.

This chemical is totally different. Though it does work the same way.

 

yeah because it lasts so long the comedown makes you wanna literally die from having yoru brain drained of dopamine for so long... I remember the 3rd day after my 15mg dose I literally thought I wouldn't get through life without killing myself.

funny how I returned completely back to normal within a few days.

i had kind of a rough night after the stuff wore off.

i ended up having to deal with a VERY stupid kid, who did something VERY stupid, and it just worsened my mood.

this stuff is NOT for very regular use, but i think i'll try another dose next week to see how consistent the effects are

I know the story you refer to, and while I'd have to look to see what it was it certainly wasn't desoxypipradol.

 

Might it be 4-desoxy-MDA?

pretty much 2c-d with one of the methoxy groups moved one position over

 

no, that was a completely different thing...just some OC feind i know showed up at my house.
