Hostels in San Fran?

Im leaving in a few months for my first venture to San Fran and San Diego!!!! (yay)... I was wondering if any one has any suggestions for some chill, free spirted place to stay. I already found an awesome place in San Diego! Thanks!! And the cheaper it is , the happier I am

couchsurfing.com is an awesome site. i have looked at it many times. i like how they have a rating system and folks can comment on their stay.. so you know it's not some creep.

Awesome sauce... glad to hear it. I've never used them here, but I have for 4 places in europe and besides being good deals, they were pretty much what I expected after reviewing them on the site.
