Decency police strike again! Michelle Lene, a former Miss Prim and Proper at Bob Jones Uni, was mortified by a potty mouthed student uttering the obscene, if grammatically correct word, “shit.” “Back in my day, (350AD?) she would have been given 500 lashes, had her mouth washed out with Lysol, and put in stocks for reicheous (Christian) family values folk to pelt her with all kinds of filth” Miss Lene said. In Dallas a spokesnazi for the ruling Southern Baptist government, Pastor Flagon, confirmed that the dirty whore would be digitally examined vaginally, anally, and mammalogically, 24/7, until marks of Satanic possession were found. After witch (Sp?) she would be stripped naked, digitally examined vaginally and anally again, vaginally impailed on Old Gory, and then burned at the stake.
This school is basically run like a prison. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mesquite_Independent_School_District http://www.dallasnews.com/news/education/headlines/20091216-Pre-K-student-Mesquite-ISD-2944.ece http://www.dallasnews.com/news/education/headlines/20091118-Odds-of-wearing-skinny-pants-in-7073.ece Still, the religious connection hasn't been fully explained..
How dare you remind me, a decent person, that I have an arse? Would you rather that they reminded you that you are an arse?
1) In a school, any school, that language should not be used. A lunchtime detention is perfectly fine. 2) "Slapped with a lunch detention" is a very biased and filled with meaning that should not be in this article. 3) The fine came not from the school, but from what appears to be law enforcement of some sort (like a cop who is a liason with the school). 4) Had she appeared to the hearing, the fine would be 1/2, so the 600 and some label to the fine is misleading. 5) Had she appeared at the hearing, she could have possibly got the fine reduced or dropped. 6) The title of the article is very funny because it doesn't indicate the age of the girl (she could be what, 18...19...) and the article also does not explain why maybe her parents or guardians did not assist her in this. 7) Lastly, your ranting about vaginal violation only serves to paint yourself as insane as you believe religious people to be. Re: Duck In my Education administration class last semester we discussed the issue of violations of dress and appearence codes (dying hair, etc). I agree that governments should not be able to dictate personal appearence, I think that in terms of schools it can be. The school's policy is apparently well known, so why would the parents not inquire about the policy before-hand, or alternatively, why would the principal or school board not inform the parents? Failure on both sides. Best and most pointless sentence: Pugh said his son, who has soft brown eyes and light brown hair, misses recess the most. Why is that worth reporting? To play to the emotions of the hapless readers. This almost seems like a good argument for uniforms, not just dress codes. (I on the other hand believe that dress codes are necessary to protect not only the students but also the teachers. This district, I think, does take it too far. There are proper means for appealing the dress code. I am not saying these parents are doing this, but it disturbs me when children are used as political leverage.)
