Backpacking The USA on FOOT HELP

Hello All, im trying to start a backpacking fund rasiser, a trip that may take several months,
i want to bakcpack the usa, i dont want to go to all the toursits places, i want to meet all the people in the small towns, i want to meet all of them, i would like to write a book. when im done walking the usa, i would like to hear from people who are from or have friends or family in small towns, even if you know of one, i want to take pictures of all that i can, i would love to set up a charity drive fund rasiser to help me along the way and to help teens at risk in out country, i figure its really time we get back to the basics. and really see and hear whats really going on in the country, lets talk to small town, USA.
