get anxiety when they smoke pot? i used to smoke all the time waaay back in the day lol when mostly all there was to smoke was green bud then one time i was home alone smoking some chronic and i had a major anxiety attack so ever since then i've been afraid to smoke but someone recently told me it may have been the chronica something to do with the strain opinions?

yeah, all my mj is green too. i actually have anxiety issues more often if i dont smoke. rarely have i had paranoia issues. sometimes if i get too high too fast i feel uncomfortable, and if i didnt know what was happening i would probably be freaked out, but i usually smoke a little to maintain the pain dulling properties, and i dont try to get stoned, since then i dont get anything done. if you didnt eat then that could have something to do with it. but whether its the potency of the herb or something else, it probably doesnt relate to color, since weed should be green.
I used to, not so much anymore. I had a bad panic attack when I smoked weed while rolling. It scared the shit out of me and basically prevented me from enjoying weed for a month. My advice is to keep smoking and don't be afraid of having another one, it just makes it worse.

anxiety seems to trigger easier when high... i wouldnt say smoking makes me anxious.. but it has the tendency to make some situations more anxious than usual.. and sometimes make others less anxious
i've heard the term "green bud" but it never had a definite meaning to me. i would say that if you smoke just regular, or "mid-grade" weed, you might not get as anxious as if you smoke really really good stuff. or just try taking one hit of good shit instead of 3 or 4. i get a little anxious when i get stoned, but like joker said, only certain things.
I had to quit smoking for a year cause of a drug diversion program when i was 18, it was better than probation cause it cleared my record. When i was done and started smoking again i got anxious/anxiety/paranoia everytime for the first couple months, it went away though. Any time i quit for a significant period of time and start again it happens. Maybe it has something to do with the strain, like a predominant sativa strain may give me more anxiety than a predominant indica, maybe?

what you are referring to as "green bud" is called "reggies/regular/brown clown" and mayn other things. this type of bud often contains chemical pesticides and such unless you know the person that has grown it. "headies" or medical grade herb is much more healthy and controlled by growers. different strains have different effects on the body. if you are feeling guilty, or anxious, or paranoid before smoking...chances are the herb may increase these feelings. of course it depends on the strain as well. some people just get naturally paranoid on it. there is a special medical strain to counteract paranoia...forgot the name, could be easily researched though.

wow first off you are a complete babe lol, after last nites experience im goin to suggest eating brownies/cookies/cannabutter to avoid anxiety. i always experience the anxiety to some degree, last nite i ate 2 fat brownies and was veryy calm. not anxious at all. I know its ALL mental, but when i smoke weed, as you all kno the high is pretty "instant". Going from one state of mind to another is what i think makes me anxious. Eating cannabis seemed to ease me into the high..:2thumbsup:
If you associate anxiety with the act of getting high you will become both. Smoke less with better people and not alone for a while. I just wrote a long post for ganjab0i . He had the exact same situations with the same problems. Find some people you love and can laugh with while sober, and smoke a teeny tiny bit while you feel safe. Then work your way up. It happened to me. I overcame it by love of others and the feeling of safety if brought. With that feeling of safety before I smoked, the happiness stayed and it has never failed me yet. The feeling of Happiness after nothing but paranoia while smoking was even more beautiful than my first high.
i agree thories, wish i could rep you. ingesting is the most effective way of using the herb. however, the high is delayed and feels much different from smoking or vaping.
Anxiety is the reason that I don't smoke anymore. Like, it literally got so bad because I was so anxious that I couldn't enjoy myself, with racing thoughts about dying and just wanting to go to the hospital. So I stopped.
also, once your tolerance is built, the paranoia often disappears. racing heart and thoughts, labored breathing...they're all signs of inexperience and intolerance.
