same here........ I think they are little corporate whores, and when someone like billy joe talks about how many pop-punk bands out right now are a bunch of poseurs, I gotta laugh, because they pretty much started the whole trend.

 

you all are just jealous cause green day made it. they rock get over it. if you thought anything less of them you wouldnt obsess over them in any way..

yeah Im jealous of them. I wish I could be a poseur punk band, pretending to play good music.

 

Their music is good. People are mad cause green day went mainstream when punk is not supposed to be about that, yet they listen to mainstream punk bands who made it AFTER green day.

no what makes me mad is the fact that green day believes that they are above all the pop-punk bands out there now. they are the same. they are all poseurs. and corporate whores. anybody who thinks they are punk and pose regularly on mtv and/or vh1 are not really punk, they are just following a trend or a gimmick.

 

riiight..I've never know them to present theirselves as better than all the other punk bands. Did they say that?

yes, billy joe armstrong recently was commenting on all these poseur punk bands out there now. he is right about that comment, but hell, their band is one too, so its pretty much the kettle calling the pot black...... you know what I mean?

no, I dont know what you mean, because they aren't a poser punk band. I'm not a hard core green day fan and they are not my favorite band, in fact my favorite type of music is rock but I know alot about music and I know that green day are not media whores..if they were do you think they would jeopardize their popularity by creating an album that speaks against the so called president of the U.S.?
