I've searched around the sight and have had no luck. I'm still figuring a lot of this stuff out. I was wondering though if there is a away to combine two dreads without stabbing it to death with a crochet hook? Thanks in advance.

Just let them congo together (stop ripping them apart)

You could put a wrap around the pair of them if your wanting instant results.

As with most everything lock-related, if you give 'em time, they will do it themselves.

...put one dread through the root of the other and leave it for a while (1 - 2 months), I've done it a few times when some dreads that kept getting smaller and weaker and it worked great, its also good cause your leaving it to join naturally (for the most part) and there always much stronger in the long run than if you wrap them together.

If you want to put 3 together you can braid them. after a while you can un-braid them and just leave the roots continuing to grow as one or you can leave the braid in long enough and it will eventually dread right down to the tip. I have one I started about a year ago and after the roots locked together it continued to knot down the lock, now there's only about 3 inches where u can see the braid and its still continuing down.

oh, and no matter how you choose to do it, pick one, do it, then leave it alone. if you keep messing with it it wont join.

Thanks for all the advice. I ended up just putting a bead on them. The roots are already starting to stick together. I also twisted it together, palm rolled it, and took a shower and this morning it's still together. So I'm just going to wait and see what happens.:)

I joined two with a crochet hook. Seriously you'd never know, it's just one fatty now. That was a few months ago
