so we always talk about munchy foods, but whats your favorite gear in the kitchen? i have an enamel dutch oven that is awesome, and a cast iron griddle. and a kitchenaid mixer. i love kitchen stuff
I have most of my moms kitchen from our old house...she bought all new stuff and i took the old..my fave is my cast iron frying pan
we pretty much have the basics with lots of lil appliances like a "food processor". no idea why people call it that. we have 3 pairs of tongs which is i guess unusual but my mom and i love tongs. theyre just useful! i'd say the niftiest lil gadget she has is a garlic press. not only does it make mushed up garlic to add to something, but it can also make a perfect galloping sound when flung around a certain way.
George forman grill. I got it as a moving present 6 or 7 years ago still use it. I loving cooking meats on it, especially bacon. The food you cook does not soak in its own grease/fat making the food more crisp, and easier to clean than your pan. Deep soup bowls. I love deep bowls for anything, cereal and soups. Gotta be deep so you can add crackers and such. Pizza Cutter. The best of the best cheese grader since i eat so much damn cheese. Pie Crust pan. Not for pies though, I love cooking egg keish. Its very easy and it makes you look like a 5star chef. And the last is a colander (if thats how you spell it) for all steamed veggies and such. I fucking love steamed broccoli, add some graded cheese, fucking delicious. You can steam anything, peppers, jalphinos, potatoes.
I buy $250 dollar hockey sticks on a regular basis. You won't find me judging people for spending too much money on high-end specialty items. I just find it amusing that all hobbies have such a similar gear-buying impulse to them.
true, but i really want one with a thermostat to control the temps. I have never had anything out of an electric smoker though, i would kill for smoked salmon
That is funny because I also got a new bar rod and fly rod/reel last year. I always figure you are better off spending your money doing shit rather than sitting around.
i got a new fly rod set up this year and i bout myself another ML spinning rod whats a "bar rod"? i agree if it gets you out of the house or at least makes you active.. i dont see the worry in spending cash
