agreed. its one thing to preach it and be all nonconformist, but its quite another to actually go out there and live it, which i'm sure most self proclaimed "anarchists" could never do, no matter how rugged and trained and "non conformist" they are.
Well, the main reason for this, is that its not possible for a single to be live anarchisticly on his own, thats like telling someone living in a policestate that he should just live asthough it was a democracy... once every 2-4 years this one poor bastard walks on his own to the steps of the palace of the tyrant, to vote for the new tyrant, i mean... it just doesnt work like that, you need to live in an anarchy to be able to live like an anarchist. and for all you people who dont think an anarchy would work, i ask you to watch this move: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZi45Mf6jYY and when done you can go to pages like wikipedia and look it up, i know that iceland has also been an anarchy, which you can also read about on wiki ireland: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaelic_Ireland iceland: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Icelandic_Commonwealth They are both a long time ago, but they both worked non the less =)
The current system is very bad, but I agree. More than anything else I find anarchists to be extremely fucking irritating, and more often than not not very intelligent. Without a system (of some sort) everything would go to shit. There's a reason humans are still here. It's because we developed systems. For learning, for building, for teaching, for helping, etc.
Apparently you have no idea what anarchism is, and the people you claim you have talked to about anarchism don't sound anywhere near like real ones. In fact you probably lied about the anarchists being irritating, as you likely have never talked to one. Anarchism is not about blowing up society and replacing it with chaos. Anarchism is a political philosophy that advocates a society free of coercive hierarchies. In order to create a society with social and economic justice you obviously need a very orderly system. Nothing to do with chaos. So sorry, you fail hard. Your describing some kind of fake derogatory definition of anarchy, which has nothing to do with the philosophy of anarchism.
I'm into the personal anarchy sort of thing. Meaning that it should be practiced in personal relationships before trying to implement it in a larger scale. Rule 1 (yeah-yeah, I know, rules and anarchy, but play along for 30 seconds : Speak and do what you think and feel, anywhere. You may offend some, but when you find friends, you'll know they're for real. And you can practice it here, there and anywhere, right now. Wow! Anarchy now!
In general I think anarchism wouldn't work, at least for our society because of all the violent idiotic shitheads, but I can see what you mean.
I will never go to another congragation of "Anarchists" in my life. Every time I find myself in an Anarchist bookstore (weird concept Anarchists selling shit) or an Anarchist Book Fair I get treated like shit by some holier than though poser because I don't wear a leather jacket or have a pink mohawk. Gee you fuckers can be fascist. Just don't get me started on the fucking Black Block. Some things I see various Anarchists do that I think is great is shit like "Shop Dropping". What a great creative way to fuck up the system for a couple of hours. Stay Brown, Rev J
Who cares? I mean, if Americans stuck to only believing in plausible, likely-to-happen political stances, we'd all be democrats and republicans.
If everyone were to believe in anarchism, there would be no diversity. And diversity is what keeps America going strong/
i think anarchy only works if people know how to respect each other and i don't think that happens now because everyone wants to be bigger instead of wanting to live in peace with others
A. Yeah it's kinda hard to listen to a written text. B. You don't need people like you to takes us seriously since we don't really care for an ignorant's attention. C. Even if we aren't gonna be successful in the near or long future, we stand as a united group who strongly believe in our ideals. And if you think you have a better idea to achieve an ideal and free society then why don't you waste your energy in it instead of trying to criticize an ideal you probably don't even understand? Anarchy, There's no government like no government!
Yeah, diversity is what keeps us at war with each other all the time. That same diversity kills thousands of people everyday.
Yep, incredible how that system keeps fucking with everyone's lives until they lose everything, and how it creates statuses for who is superior and is not, as those who aren't go through a shitty life even though they might have worked hard all their crappy life for a miserable pay-out only enough to keep an acceptable roof over their heads... All this while for others who haven't lifted a dime all their life are given fortunes big enough to buy a house in every fucking country in the world. But i'm sure that you don't mind this unequal division of material goods... It's still a great system that truly works :2thumbsup: Anarchy, There's no government like no government!
