3 years from now after Lil Wayne dies of a heroin overdose people are going to declare him the greatest rapper to ever live. Tupac and Easy-E would be turning over in their graves. These people were true artists. Eminem is a true artist. I am sick and tired of people talking up rappers like Lil Wayne when all they do is talk about how cool they are. Flame away...
Eminem is a true artist that's sucked ever since he got serious. But I digress: Here is a video of Lil Wayne thieving from Tupac and many others: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QToACoaR96c"]YouTube - LIL WAYNE IS A SWAGGER JACKER!!!
haha wow I have never seen that I did not realize that he was that lazy! That is hilarious thank you for helping to prove my point. I will agree with you about Eminem's new stuff being sh*t.
well yeah that is what has happened now.. its all egocentric.. all about who i am what i got blah blah all that shit.. we talkin about people or things rather than ideas
I think that when artists convince the common public to focus on specific people instead of ideas it dumbs down our society as a whole and halts the advancement of many sects of our society
As much as I hate lil wayne. Am not bother by his music but just for the fact that his claim to be the best. I can accept his Dr.Suess/Weird Al rap which is all great if thats whats how he wishes to rap but please re-frame from being called the best.
yeah that what rappers all about and dont forget the chorus. I cant recall any rapper that focus on lyrical content then just on the chorus hence the term "chorus" rap.
I have never understood the appeal of Lil Wayne. Nor Waka Flaka...this new wave of super shitty (imo) hip hop...bleh. Lil Wayne's voice...meh, compare his flow to someone like, hmmm Big Boi from Outkast....Lil weezy can suck it. But I do like Khalifa.... Black and yellow black and yellow black and yellow
liking Khalifa and to dislike lil wayne is for one to contradict ones own self. black and yellow might be catchy and all but its still pretty weak when he raps when you look at the lyrics.
Wiz Khalifa was so much better when he was starting out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gljr1mc5rU8"]YouTube - Wiz Khalifa ft. Boaz - Keep The Conversation
I just can't deal with lil wayne's voice. Or, maybe I relate to how much of a big old stoner Khalifa is. I would love to get stoned with Khalifa, I would NOT want to hang out with Lil Wayne. :sunny:
one mtv/vh1 whatever channel on tv has an 8 hour block called "lil wayne takeover", who the hell could listen to that shit for 8 hours?
Here's another thing Wiz Khalifa did better before going mainstream: flowed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ofs36onI9ws"]YouTube - Wiz Khalifa- History In the Making
I cant understand what the fuck lil wayne says. So I think he sux. And eminems old stuff is the shit. Slim Shady Lp is the best rap album put out to me. "Cause he just didnt give a fuuuuck"
It was meh to be honest. the 80s guitar solo was pretty lame actually with the synth melody in the back of the beat. His flow is nice but nothing special. Not really the creative on word choice. sorry to be so harsh.
Dang yall hatin, i guess im the only Lil Wayne fan here lol. Not gonna lie the dude comes up with some sick metaphors, even more so if it's straight from the dome.
The world needs more critics. Truckloads of them. It's the style I love - late 90s/early 2000s. The guitar sample was actually my favorite part; and I agree about the word choice, that's why I emphasized this post was about his flow. I feel that the syllables follow the beat much better than most rap, and definitely way better than his modern work. The lyrics are much better on the other one I posted. Do you at least agree it's better than Black and Yellow? =P
Honestly, I love Lil Wayne. Personally, I think his lyrics are pretty genius. Haha, and that sounds weird cause he raps about some crazy shit. But the way he goes in for like 3 minutes straight amazes me. And the metaphors that he comes up with are always witty.. Also, I love the fact that Lil Wayne really doesn't pretend he's all that hood. He pretty much raps about things that are relevant to his life/pop culture type things... I'd definitely say best rapper alive. Possibly of all time, but I haven't lisened to them all yet. I'm seeing him at Bamboozle, and I seriously can't wait.
