I'm a dragon. I don't take this mystical stuff too seriously, but it suits me pretty well. http://www.chinesezodiac.com/dragon.php Exerpts that I think apply to me: "PersonalityOccupying the 5th position in the Chinese Zodiac, the Dragon is the mightiest of the signs. Dragons symbolize such character traits as dominance and ambition. Dragons prefer to live by their own rules and if left on their own, are usually successful. They’re driven, unafraid of challenges, and willing to take risks. They’re passionate in all they do and they do things in grand fashion. Unfortunately, this passion and enthusiasm can leave Dragons feeling exhausted and interestingly, unfulfilled." "While Dragons frequently help others, rarely will they ask for help. Others are attracted to Dragons, especially their colorful personalities," "Dragons have tempers that can flare fast!" Considering their hard-working nature, Dragons are healthy overall. They do get stressed and suffer from periodic tension/headaches, likely because they take so many risks. Dragons prefer leading to being led. Dragons will give into love, but won’t give up their independence. Because they have quick, sometimes vengeful tempers, their partners need to be tough-skinned. Dragons enjoy others who are intriguing, and when they find the right partners, they’ll usually commit to that person for life. An Earth Dragon more specifically Earth Dragons– Years 1928 and 1988More rooted in the ground, Earth Dragons make better decisions because they act more rationally. Earth Dragons are level-headed and able to control their behaviors. They’re more supportive of others, but they prefer being admired by others. This shit is interesting as a 3-assed monkey to me (which is my ex girlfriends sign har-de-har-har) so post yours
I'm an earth dragon too, that description suits me pretty well and I'm a scorpio too, quite a combination
I'm the rabbit...definitely suits me except for the fact that a rabbit should be "stylish" I'm definitely far from that!!
I'm a serpent. I only know because my local restaurant gives me a calender every year and it gives the years and representative signs.
I'm an earth dragon and a pisces. Which I find extreamly interesting because of the old Chinese legend of the carp(fish) that bravely swam upstream and became a dragon. My whole life has been an uphill battle... The way the symbolism connects to me personally... makes me give a second thought for all my 'rationial' arguments against this type of thing.
Hey, I'm a water snake and the wee resumé pretty much sums me up. Not the general characteristics though.
Which rabit? Check your year of birth. This isn't the placemat zodiac thread http://www.chinesezodiac.com/rabbit.php
I'm a metal snake year, and pretty much all that it says sums me up.....I've studied regular astrology and also numerology, and when you do this for someone, all three of the reports actually dovetail together!!! amazing.........
Wish I'd seen this discussion earlier; I just posted something on the Chinese zodiac and mysticism on a "What's your sign?" thread. I realize everyone has their own unique perspective, but the thing that is the most interesting and useful to me about the Chinese zodiac and Chinese mysticism in general is the aspect that allows you to understand/catalog your strengths and weaknesses so that you can use the knowledge to chart your own course. I'm only a neophyte, but don't believe at all in preordination, and am constanly seeking tools to help me take better control of my own life.
Well, I figured it out and, I'm a metal goat. And the description is nothing like me. It says goats are social, healthy and have a love for the arts. But, I'm a recluse, I hate people, I'm always sick and I hate anything that has anything to do with art.
Wood Rats – Not nearly as self-confident as they appear on the surface, Wood Rats will never expose this vulnerability to others. They’re successful despite their perpetual fear of failing. Wood Rats enjoy being with friends and family and fortunately for them, feelings of love and respect are mutual.
