Don't post if you don't want stupid comments that don't have anything to do with what you're saying/mean. Also, don't post if you don't want someone to flame you in some way.

Anywho, I feel the same way but in one or two years I'm out of here so I don't really care that much. You've put up with them for this long so why give up now? Just finish school, get a job and move out :2thumbsup:

Don't dignify the responses based on a premise that is false. Zero acknowledgment is the best possible one to some things... because among other things it demonstrates you to be more mature than those hurling indirect insults.

You listen here Glen, you Pinko, Lezzo, Commo, dole bludging Poofter! I died in three world wars and seven police actions for these fairies and all you can do is make fun of my sacrifice.

Perhaps your decision to come back to life has thrown a crimp into the intentions to fully honor and appreciate your considerable sacrifices in all three of the two world wars.... and to think that you specifically did it for the fairies... maybe a splash of buttered rum in the saucer of milk left for you out by the back entrance would be a nice start..

I prefer Brandy. Rum reminds me of the times they gave it to us before we went "over the top" in WW1. Or just before that bloody bayonet charge at Buna in WW2. :(

Good cognac is much smoother and would be my choice if I drank... and enough alcohol might render me incapable of questioning the premise of a 68 year old relating memories from the two world wars.

Lemme tell you, Trenchfoot. Even though I was only horrendously wounded in it, the Boer War was worse than both of them!! :hide:

Centuries never seem to turn peacefully do they Mr. Gimp Imp -eh? I bet that didn't hold a candle to War of the Roses... Kathleen Turner was great in that film. I believe Michael Douglas may have had some brandy in that one... probably went well with the pate.... something you're not unfamiliar with- having undoubtedly sided with the French on so many of their skirmishes with the British Empire.

Oh- and the imitation dairy products I'm cultivating between my toes do not belong in discussions about parents, wars, parental wars, roses, and saucers full of warm brandy. Please save that for the munchies forum for when the inevitable topic arises looking for alternative sources of protein.

My parents can really irk me too, sometimes...
My mom gets so easily irritated, my dad is obsessive compulsive about soo much,
They don't listen to me a lot, they don't give me religious freedom, my mom can be really overprotective, and I just know things would be so much easier if I lived on my own...
but I can't, I'm only 16, and though I can get really bothered by them, I love them a lot. My mom is probably my best friend :p
I figure I'll just wait for college to get away. And until then, I'm going to have backpacking trips with my aunt and uncle, sleepovers with friends, and a Disney trip for band ot get away and give me a break :)

But I think telling them you want to spend a weekend camping is a good idea.

I just "knew" that when I was 16 as well... it was one of the first things I had to "unlearn" if I wasn't interested in being a victim of my own short-sighted stupidity. Another notion- and a tougher one to part company with was the need to apply standards of "fair" and "right" to a process that by its very nature is unfair. After realizing the decade plus I wasted attaining the status of victim to that evil force of fate I began recognizing all the negatives, all the challenges- all the "short ends of the stick" I seemed to have perpetually accessed as opportunities for me to prove that I can rise above something.

One of the bigger problems with people in general is a lack of motivation- that is a product of excessive comfort and convenience. In that sense I think that generations who, wile growing up, were kept busy by their folks- stepped into life better equipped to deal with it.

    I dislike my parents too.
Move into a commune nearby or in the state next to yours.
That's how you get away from it all for real.
