Never masturbated in my whole life (serious replies please)

I am 22 years old male and I have never experienced masturbation. It's not because of some moral or religious issue, it just never has worked for me. When I try stroking my penis, it gets erect but I never ejaculate or have an orgasm. Is there something wrong with me? I've tried to see a urologist but that didn't help me.

You have no idea how frustrating it is not being able to masturbate, knowing all your peers have been doing it since they hit puberty. The only time I can count on something similar is a wet dream, which comes every now and again.

I really want to experience masturbation, because I feel like I'm missing out.

Also, masturbating isn't about stroking your dick and eventually ejaculating/having an orgasm, it's doing anything to your genitals in order to have sexual pleasure, so you don't have to have an orgasm to be masturbating. How long do you stroke for? You might not be doing it for long enough. You could also try and do something like watch porn while stroking, a different technique, think of something sexual/a fantasy while stroking. You'll have an orgasm once you've found out the technique that works for you.

 

I agree with Aedes, you just gotta figure out what turns you on the most and hone in on it! Also practice different ways of handling yourself while you do it, not to seem wierd but I've actually been able to produce very different experiences

 

Although it may appear unlikely that a male has never experienced masturbation by that age, despite trying, it isn't beyond the realms of possibility, as a friend of mine, who was approximately the same sort of age at he time, confessed to me that even though he was married with a baby daughter, he had still never experienced masturbation & wanted to learn - at which point I gave him some personal tuition - a lesson he has never forgotten.

One key point seemed to be that he was circumcised & found it difficult to get anywhere without lubrication, so for the first session, we resorted to the shower & used plenty of soap. I know that this isn't the case with all circumcised men, but it does appear to be so with some.

Personally I always find it easier to masturbate whilst watching porn, as it helps with the fantasising - putting me into the position of the guy in the video.

Bear in mind that there are also 2 main types of masturbation - stimulation of the shaft, which tends to be the most common, and stimulation of the glans, which is not usually so common, due to the high sensitivity found there. However, if you use plenty of lubrication and/or opt for masturbation with an artificial vagina, such as a FleshLight, this can stimulation the glans directly, in the same way it would as if it were having real sex within the vagina.

Of course, I am not discounting the possibility that the OP of this thread is just a troll, but I have known a similar case in my own experience, so I don't discount the possibility of it being genuine either.

No I am not a troll and thank you for your input. The thing is I've tried everything from watching porn, to fantasizing, to everything. However while I do get turned on, I never orgasm or ejaculate. It's like I come to the middle of the road and that's it...maybe I'm just wired different from most folks.

As kooky as it may sound, my urologist did recommend astro glide as a lubricant.

 

How long do you try to masturbate for? If you are doing it for 5 minutes and then give up then I would say just go longer. Grab some lube and try for an hour watching porn you like. I think it is just a problem of the kind of stimulation you are getting. I know personally, and I probably speak for most guys that masturbate regularly. That I know the perfect amount of pressure and friction to use, it is just natural for me. But I am sure that is not the case with everyone, but it can be, so try everything, lube/no lube, tighter grip/loose grip, stroke the whole shaft/stroke the top only. Also, another issue has not been addressed. Have you EVER experienced an orgasm? With a partner I mean. If not then there might be bigger issues afoot.

 

Another question to ask is whether you are on any form of medication, such as anti-depressants or beta-blockers, which are particularly known for having detrimental side effects regarding orgasm.

 

I hear ya about not being able to masturbate. I haven't been able to do it either. I think I am cursed. I think I am just wired differently. I don't know how or why it happened. I can get erect. It's like I need to actually be with a woman in order to have sex.

 

Vary up how you do it, and see how that goes for you. You can also try some lube as that can something help.

Of course. But my point was that having sex is different from masturbation. You need to be with a person at least. And i sure hope he isnt into having sex with animals lol.
