why is it that i have had all the experiences i read about from psychedelic-users, but all while completely sober ? and i've never taken a drug in my life! just alcohol sometimes.
and i had weed 2 times only, and it never did anything for me so i never done it again nor do i plan to.
and not just trippy stuff like hallucinations
i'm mainly talking about the feelings of truth and philosophies most people only get with lsd or something like that.

    hmm strange

Friend--you have not had the experiences of LSD unless you've had the experiences of LSD. If you don't believe me--well--I think you see where I'm going with this.

It is because you don't need to use drugs to have experiences that are profoundly life changing, spiritual and eye opening. Meditation, chanting, sweat lodges, holistic medicine, deep thinking, and even having a great jam session from the soul can produce the same or similar states of mind of drugs.

But just because you have attained the state of mind or being from those substances, doesn't necessarily mean you have had the same experience as the drug user.
Drugs can have the power to open and expand the doors of your mind without the complication of figuring out a way to attain that state. They also maintain that state as long as the drug in question is still in effect.

The spirit of natural experiences in life and during drug experiences is to be open and accepting to what's really goin' down around you. There is so much energy flying around and our metaphysical bodies are interacting with everything around us constantly. A person who is aware of this with an open mind can understand and maintain this state without drug use

There are various routes to attain the various states of consciousness that drugs can induce but I think the route to getting there is drastically different if that makes sense. Like for instance I can play guitar and go into a trance like state pretty much and sort of dissovle into the notes but it doesn't feel the same as eating 5 grams of mushrooms and dissolving into the music on shrooms.

Same destination, different road getting there.

And some need the mind bending/opening experience in order to realize --and consequently tend to-- healing the events in our lives that preclude any spiritual awakening at all. I am one such. If it can be done naturally I'm sure the "seeing" is as valuable as LSD induced realizations. Some would say more so.

Yes. I was a bad alcoholic. A gentle man with not a clue about spituality at all when sober, but rowdy. I didn't even suspect. Due to emotional issues in my early life I was a raging, scary man on alcohol. Even friends that I loved and who loved me in return avoided me when I was partaking of alcohol. I was probably on the road to doing some real damage to myself and/or others. I was 28 when I first took LSD and I immediately stopped alcohol for over 20 years and was able to,thru those around me, finally understand loss of ego, the quest for knowledge and all that went with changing who I had been. I don't know if what cleansedreality says can happen---can happen. He said it beautifully and I know he's a sincere man. It never could have happened for me. I hope you see what I mean. But I'm happy for you if you are on a journey that fits you. I,of course will still act like a jack-ass in these forums when the occasion presents it'self. I don't worry much about the spirituality any more----life is for fun. Even if it's dumb fun. The core is there.

Of course this is just a personal story. May not pertain.

Examples of people who have those kinds of experiences without pharmacological aid can be found by viewing my YouTube video "Sick Mystics"
