I like a few of their songs. 'Dear Mrs. Robinson' is cool. 'El Condor Pasa' is preddy fabulous and 'Scarborough Fair' (which I think is derived from an old celtic/folk song) is terrific!
simon and well ok garfunkle as well i guess are cool.. but in my opinion it was all paul simon and garfunkel was just along for the ride... so yay to simon.. and a bit of a slightly supressed yay for garfunkel i like it.. i like it alot. andy xxx
hmm have to agree that paul simon was the genius behind it. the paul simon songbook is actually amazing...but garfunkel has a gorgeous tenor, i'll give him that. love daisyness xxx
Don't hide, it is nice to see at least one non fan post herer. I saw them live in 1983, with 52 000 other people and it was amazing. Kathy's Song, For Emily wherever I may find her, America, the Boxer, Sound of Silence, Homeward Bound, Bridge over troubled water.... they had some good songs.
back in 87 when i was 17 a very close f/male friend of mine died an i was asked by her mother to carry her with her three brothers as we had grown up together. On entering the church Bright eyes was playing for this was her nick name coz she had the most beautifull big blue eyes. To this day the song makes me cry. i nearly cried singing it last christmas at my local
