I was watching Andrew Marr last week and the US ambassador (I think) stated the US has made no moves to extradite Julian to the US and has no plans to.

You make him out to be some kind of night in shinning armor. Who says just because someone believes something and acts upon it that they should die by it, he has a right to be afraid of death, simply because he is human.

of course he does, it's not him i have a problem with. i think what he has done is a great, yet redundant, thing actually.

i have the biggest problem with the public.

assange showed us, the people, what was wrong with the world. he never changed what was wrong, he gave us the choice of change. so stand up america, you have your reasons, take your chance of freedom

a reason to say 'fuck the war!!!!' - yes, indeed, though there are teenagers getting their limbs blown off whilst you diminish their every effort for your protection. who started the war is beside the point, all the crimes are beside the point, as of now there is threat.

assange is one of these people. if you are worried about the time, do not do the crime. shit, he is afraid of dying because he is human?? so are plenty of people who are taking bigger risks (war) - and at the risk of unappreciation, rather than global acknowledgement.

people, change the world. stop paying your taxes, burn down a flippin' walmart, i don't care - but please, don't wave a peace flag on the back of the bandwagon.

 

i wont plague this thread again. but had to get that off my chest, if he dies so be it - he can live on as a saint forever.

We couldn't even get Roman Polanski to be extradited and almost everyone can agree sleeping with 13 year old girls when you're like 40 is pretty wrong.

Julian fucked two dumb bitches, pissed off Uncle Sam, and they are fucking him over.

If we avoid discussing the problems then how do we ever find solutions? Can justice be achieved in a way that all will accept?

Assange has more to fear in the Swedish courts than he would in the U.S. courts, although he might reasonably fear assassination by some extremist in the U.S.
