you've gotta talk to it more. My mom is a firm believer in talking to her plants (only when drunk, though) and they thrive.
i have a ton of other plants that are doing great.. this one seems to like it's new spot for awhile then just half dies.. :frown: so i move it.. it does good.. then half dies.. :frown:
I tried doing this last year with my herb garden and I swear it worked. I usually have a black thumb, can't keep anything alive for very long at all, but my herb garden flourished. I think talking to your plants establishes a relationship with them, as silly as that sounds, so you are more likely to remember them, treat them with care, and not neglect them.
The only thing I can seem to keep alive are my spider plants, which appear to thrive on neglect. They are the step-children of houseplants.
Plants like people have different personalities and this plant sounds like it enjoys traveling :daisy: Hotwater
It really depends on the type of plant, some of them do not require near as much attention as others. I have a ficus and it's been the most difficult plant to keep happy! it has to be watered small amounts twice a week. Always needs plant food. the rest of my plants i give an assload of water once a week and they are always great! sad part is i love the ficus the most
Silk!! I love plants but I have a friend who only has silk plants as she kills them off. Works for her.
So one of my eccentric friends has her balcony houseplants eaten by monkeys all the time, and she heard that tiger poop would scare them away. So she got her moto driver to take her to the zoo, and he got her quite a sufficient amount of tiger poop. He (Cambodian moto driver) thought it was completely reasonable. She was at the bar with a plastic bag full of tiger poop a week ago. I usually play best case worst case in these situations. I told her best case she has no more monkeys, and worse case, she has monkeys flinging tiger shit at her. It didn't change her resolve.
