So I have lived in this house my whole life, my friend just recently moved in to the top room of the house. He is paying 100 bucks a month to live there. Now we have always smoked/kept his bongs in his room, that was fine by me. Today I come in to his room (while hes there) and he has two clones and a light and was setting up a table to make a grow place. Now I was fuckn pissed I was like you cant do that in my dads house you dumb bitch. But he rarely listens to me about shit.
My question is if we got caught somehow with those two plants, would me or my dad be responsible/get in trouble? I don't want any of that to happen, and I not gonna tell my dad right now because that would be a dick move to do right away.

it would be your dad, hes the owner of the property. that is a totally unacceptable thing to do to someone who is letting you live in their house. i would tell the friend to pack it up, or dad will be informed. give him a time period. maybe he didnt think it would be a big deal, but upon being informed of such he should cease. give him a week to find his babies a new home, and if he hasnt, bring it up to your dad.

This whole thing is about a Cannabis plant growing, Fresh Admittedly is a cocaine user....... How much trouble will your dad get should you get popped with an 8ball in the house??

Its a plant in a state thats moving towards legalization- Its a {Plant, Cannabis plant. Not cocaine.

The question was... "if we got caught" Caught has a wide spectrum--
Caught with what?. Growing a plant under 2 little lamps?.
What kinda lamp?/.. If its a hobby grow for realz dont see why you need to crow crazy like in Cali unless your grower, there is Cannabis everywhere..

growing a few plants under a desk lamp getting caught by Santa Cruz police dept?/ Id be more embarrassed than anything.. The cops would probably laugh at you too..

The cultivation or processing of any amount of marijuana is punishable by up to sixteen months in state prison. There is an exception to the cultivation prohibition for patients or patients' caregivers who possess or cultivate for personal use by the patient upon approval of a physician.
The laws regarding possession and cultivation of marijuana do not apply to patients or patients' primary caregivers who possess or cultivate marijuana for the personal medical use of the patient, upon the recommendation or approval of a physician.

Does the roommate have a card. This is getting ridiculous, People that possess more cannabis than can be manufactured, are breaking the law, more than someone with a window plant.......

Making a unilateral decision that your dad is to assume the risk of an illegal plant on his property would be a deal breaker. It reflects a rather telling disregard for anyone else. I wouldn't give a second chance. Yes, I firmly believe that weed should be legal but this is a question of respect for the person furnishing a roof for your roommate.

Stinkfoot capsulized the issue nicely. It's about disrespecting the homeowner and abusing his trust. The guy should be told to find a new home for the plants.

Yeah my roommate can be a jew, I told him that I don't want it in there for more than a week, and he says he just needs 2 weeks to get them ready for growing outside, I decided to go along with it whatever.

i take both sides. sure i understand disrepsect of the house, it would be disrespectful if you dident smoke pot. but you smoke? and id say. if your going to grow that shit in my house, i get half. then you get all that free weed. what risk are you taking? i got busted with 2oz's of bud in ny, they dropped the charge. weed is nothing. especally in cali. why dont you have your med card? thats rather irresponsable if you smoke weed and are afraid of getting cought.

i would let him grow it, and take half his yeild for letting him grow it.

    its free pot.

your paying for pot, while you complain when your friend grows it.

ur just mad that he thought of it before you, and hes the one whos going to have a shitload of free pot, and your not!

    better get agrowin!

No, I'm not growing in my dads house because its disrespectful. That would be a good idea to get some of his pot for doing that though.

I mean, this guy does usually give me bong hits when I am out of weed, and it has added up quite a bit. I also buy most my weed off him too. He usually has good weed and I can tell the plants he has are going to be good. They have a lot of crazy leaves already popping out in random ass areas.
He said he was going to make a lt of clones with just those two plants, and asked him if I could have a couple to grow and he said yeah probably. I dunno if hes going to try selling me em but that would be kinda whack.
And I won't be growing in my dads house tyvm, I will find a crazy ass spot out in the woods somewhere. Last time I tried growing tho, it was with these two kids (he was one of em) and the other one decided to put in a green house and we had 55 plants altogether, I only had five (the biggest ones there fat tree trunk stalks) So yeah this time will be a lot better just on my own for sure.

Okay- he's a good friend... in this case I suggest working to find an alternate setting for his little grow.

Do you know what your dads reaction will be if he found out about the plants?
