Driver Plows Through Dozens of Cyclists in Brazil

^^^ no one died... 9 hospitalised and around 20 injured but all released from hospital now, which is amazing... what an arse that driver is! Grrrr

 

As a cyclist I can say people in cars are in fact the ones who's follow the rules of the road the least.

 

That's fucked up. I hope no-one was badly hurt. I hope they catch this guy, I mean not the police but the people and they kick the living shit out of him.

 

I hate the bastards, they think just because roads are designed for cars that they own them.

No. They just get in the fucking way of cyclists. Like what the fuck do they want rights of passage through all the roads in my town?

As far as I am concerned cars are a nuisance, they are noisy and they get in my way every fucking where I go. Their right of passage should be severely limited in my opinion, and people should be made to walk a commensurate distance to a local garage to use their car, unless for a specific reason like they are moving house, or they are disabled.

 

I obviously wasn't referring to all bikers in existence, and I like how you think the only kind of crash you could possibly cause is one between only you and one other vehicle. I also enjoy the overall elitist attitude you hold. Gives your post a nice touch of self-righteousness.

 

I read that they know who it is, and the guy has a lawyer already, but he hasn't turned himself in yet.

It still isn't considered anything other than an "accident" by police yet.

 

Even if the cops were to do nothing to him, I'm sure he's going to get sued out the ass anyway. That guy is truly fucked.

I think a fitting punishment would be to duct tape this guys arms and legs to a bike, and line up everyone who was hit, each in their own large truck, to take a shot at him. And maybe after none of them hit him, it would engender a little thought on his part.

 

I guess that would be sort of clever if the analogy were applicable here, but unfortunately it's not. On a public road there is more than the biker and one other vehicle. If a biker somehow causes a car to swerve to avoid them, that car could hit another car.

You apparently have NO concept of how planes fly, where they fly, who determines where they fly, or why any of the proceeding is the way it is.

You should learn what the fuck you're talking about before you TRY to explain it.

 

Air Balloons must have operators license, and they can not just take off without checking with local air traffic control, and check notams.

 

I wish I sat on the hipforums all day waiting for somebody to respond to my post so I could pounce on them 2 minutes after they answer. Calm down, smoke a bowl or something, everything's gonna be ok.

Also, please explain to me how any of this BS about planes disproves that a biker can cause a serious accident involving multiple cars, which was my original point, and one that I would prefer to stay on rather than arguing about irrelevant air traffic.

Nobody has road ethics. Those who fuck up ruin the reputation for everybody of that vehicle of choice, bike, car, RV, motorcycle whatever.

I live in a bike friendly city, but I don't have one with me where I live because bike thieves are everywhere and if you're bike gets stolen, the cops don't do shit about it.

You have motorist assholes who disregard bikes, passengers of the car throw shit at the bikers, fail to slow down, etc, etc.

Then you have asshole bicyclists who hog the lanes of rural highways by biking side-by-side. What the fuck is that all about? If you wanna converse with your partner, fine. But when you hear a car coming, form a single file line! Bikers are notorious for not signaling or sneaking up quietly on you. The bike bell should be a mandatory feature.

Moral of the story: Everybody is an asshole on the road.

 

Agreed. Everybody shat their pants with rage because my first post didn't specifically point out that I'm aware a very good percentage of car drivers don't follow the rules of the road either.
