well, not the majority i know... all of my friends have different takes on reality... i suppose it all depends on how deep you want to go... and you look like a sheep from where i'm standing, just as i look psychotic from your perspective... vive la difference! :)

Pot changes the brain. it is up to you whether you consider it harmful or not. but the fact is that it changes something.

blazing at a younger age also has been proven to change certain developments of the brain. again it is up to you to decide if the changes are harmful or not.

I'm asking YOU why YOU think I am. YOU did not say why. I do not think I am. I'm asking YOU why I am a sheep. Key word here: YOU.

    Sheep. Sheeple. Whatever.
It's the weakest insult on the internet, tossed out by those who can't debate their arguments properly.

All I am seeing here is the same bullshit people use to keep marijuana illegal. A study comes out showing how the substance is not the devil, so ignorant people ignore it and pretend it is not important.

A study comes out showing how it has negative effects as well and pot supporters laugh at it and doubt its validity. Pretty hypocritical, considering a lot of activism is aimed at explaining how its not awful for you to people who ignore the studies.

Not that it changes my habits though...

for a healthy person, smoking a little weed is probably not going to do anything bad to you. If you smoke shit loads of weed for a long time, and especially if you are not so healthy/mentally stable, don't be surprised if you get some memory loss, paranoia, loss of motivation, and start to lose touch.

I think that's the take home message. If getting like this is a big problem for you, then don't go there.

This study doesn't really tell us anything that we didn't know already

Yes. Jesus Christ, if you cannot interpret sensory stimulus like the rest of the 99% of the population you have symptoms of psychosis. It's completely damaging to a person's ability to function. There is in fact an actual reality. There aren't voices coming from the walls, the bank teller isn't plotting against you, you can't stop a car with the power of your mind, it's not normal to no be able to carry on coherent sentences, ect.

This is why I hate stoners, anything bad about weed comes out first you get the "well I'd like to see how obviously biased this study is" followed by just more abstract WELL WHO GETS TO DEFINE REALITY.

Well you know what, the people not having paranoid delusions or hallucinations get to.

Seriously the fact remains weed is a psychedelic albeit a mild one, given any kind of sensory altering drugs to people who's brains make it so their hold on reality is tedious at best can lead to psychosis symptoms? Nah it's all part of the anti-weed conspiracy.

    :2thumbsup:

It's not an option between 'weed is harmless' and 'weed will kill you'. The answer is somewhere in between and we need to look at all the research because there is still stuff to find out.

The fact that there are people out there smoking it that wouldn't do so if they thought it wasn't harmless, and that it may contribute to their psychosis is disturbing. This is (or should be) the main reason legality is contested, not a government conspiracy to deprive the masses or increase alcohol profits.
