just wondering how many fire performers are here? i use poi mostly.. i also use devil sticks, double staffs, batons, i also eat and breathe fire. Its become more and more popular.:sunny:
I used to be big into poi. I've done fire a few times, even made some of my own. Mostly I just did glowsticks and blinking things though I was smokin up with a dude that blew fire, I couldn't deal with having that fluid in my mouth. He said he would let me try but I had a stomach full of drugs I didn't want to puke up
I want to learn how to breath fire so bad. right now ive been spinning poi and am getting into spinnning fire. also i have been practicing with the meteors and what not
fire breathing is a dangerous art.. if i have any advice to give i would say dont take up this practice without a teacher! theres hugeee potential for serious injury or even death... ive seen some pretty gnarly accidents by experienced breathers and newbies alike. Poi is definatly one of my favourites! and meteors are also a lot of fun! but takes a lot more self dedication. Have you checked your area for fire artists? there are loads of resources on the internet to help you locate a good community.. and hey if you cant find a community- create one! i started off as the sole spinner in this area.. now we have multiple classes weekly! its just a matter of looking and you never know what you can find! good luck on the firey path.. and may u always feel the heat of the flame!
i mostly use led poi but ive used a staff and fire poi and hula hoops as well. fire poi makes me feel like a super hero FWOOSH WOOSH WOOSH i love it love it
