Deposed Egyptian President, Hosni Mubarak will answer charges he swindled the Egyptian people out of half a billion dollars on the Israeli gas deal.

Egypt's state security prosecutor Abdel Magid Mahmud said he has solid evidence that Mubarak personally got a huge cut on the deal.

Evidently the Israelis got a sweetheart deal with low prices and Mubarak and two Israelis (including Ariel Sharon) and an American all divided half a billion in kickbacks for the deal!

The gas pipeline from Egypt to Israel was blown up by Hamas during the Egyptian uprising. So Israel has lost 40% of its gas supply and Egypt is in no hurry to repair the pipeline or sell more gas to the Israelis.

This may be the first corruption charge against Mubarak of many to come.
