Steam is the best ever. so many good games. counter strike, portal, half-life 2, mount and blade, and day of defeat. for all of you who do not know about steam and like pc games you should check it out. it is a program with hundreds of computer games. it offers free games and several demos and direct downloads of pay games through credit card. it also has all the old doom games on it so you do not have to worry about finding a old copy. mount and blade = a first person or third person war game without guns. you only have swords,crossbows, and arrows. you can attack castles, towns,villages, do quests, fight for a king, become a rebel, and more. such a fun game. counter strike= terrorists vs counter terrorist first person shooter half-life2= A game that is way better than halo. day of defeat= world war 2 first person shooter online. portal= a very fun puzzle game so anyone with a gaming computer I recommend you check out steam.
You forgot Team Fortress 2! Easily the best game on steam, other than maybe counter strike. Also Killing floor is an extremely fun game, check it out if you haven't played it.
Any serious PC gamer should already know about Steam, and the sales are insane, I've picked up so many games for under $5, and I'm talking about AAA titles. As for Half-life 2 being better than Halo, you may be right, but you're not giving Halo enough credit for what it did with console shooters. Large maps to explore, one of the best soundtracks of all time, the most fun 4 player offline multiplayer since goldeneye, perfect vehicle controls, dedicated grenade button, dual wielding... It was a revolutionary game that jump started the FPS genre on consoles.
