I hit a 14 inch wooden water pipe that had all wooden pieces. The bowl, the DIFFUSED downstem, and the actual pipe. Wood on wood joint.

The only reason I got to hit it is because I had an argument with the owner (a friend of mine) about herb supposedly tasting waayyyy better out of a wood piece than my glass Zong. I was skeptical.

I agree that it tastes .. different. But better? I dunno about all that noise...

It's comparing a bottle of beer vs. a can

    What do you think?

Depends on what wood and how you clean it. If you want a nice wooden pipe use a quality tobacco pipe far better then some of the rubbish you buy in headshop.

Yeah, wouldn't wanna smoke weed through something that tasted like burning plant:mickey:

Glass makes your smoke taste different, depending on the pieces physics, how the bowl is loaded, the combustion source used, and how you hit it.

I expect the wood bong just had nice proportions that lent themselves to a tasty smooth smoke. It sounds cool, but like it would be a MOTHERFUCKER to clean, a bong is way worse than a standard wood pipe...
