hey i was wondering if there are any real differences between 4-AcO and 4-HO tryptamines with the same base. For example: i know of a vendor that sells both 4-AcO-dipt and 4-HO-dipt, as well as 4-AcO-mipt and 4-HO-mipt. So before i decide to place an order i want to get as much info as possible. Is there any difference in the psychoactive effects? (i ask this because there is some disagreement whether the 4-AcO is metabolized into the 4-HO form) Is one more stable than the other?(shelf life/rate of degradation). I would assume the 4-HO form would be more potent just because of more molecules per mg. any other reasons on why someone should buy one form instead of the other would be appreciated.
from my experience with 4ho & 4aco dipt and reading about other 4-substituted tryptamines the hydroxyl and acetoxyl esters are similar but still unique. Hydroxylated tryptamines have a faster onset, are more potent and are shorter in duration. If i were you and had funds to - id get both and see which YOU prefer
^ yup they have unique effects depending on which the molecule has, ho/aco. 4-aco-dmt is lurvely :drool5:
Each trip even with the same compound and form can be drastically different. I recently just did some low dose extracted mescaline and it feels practically like a different chem than San Pedro cactus. Fumarate is more stable than freebase to my understanding. Its up to you but I'd go with mdbnkc's advice unless ones significantly pricier. Different ROA's, different doses, different set and settings and the chemical structures can cause extreme variability between trips.
i recall reading a good thread about this on bluelight.. Most people with direct experience said that the different 4-xx-tryptamine esters are for the most part similar but have a slightly different "feel" the differences between 4-po-dmt [psilocybin], 4-aco-dmt, and 4-ho-dmt [psilocin] are actually fairly well documented as i'm sure you know, psychedlic cacti [san pedro, peruvian torche, peyote etc] hold a fairly large array of active compounds. depending on the method of exaction you used, it could have left behind a large number of the active compounds, to attain a higher concentration of mescaline
Good point. I think the differences between the various 4 trypts (and I've tried most of them) are far less than difference simply from one trip to the next. Apart from dose I find them pretty much interchangable. Not the hip, cool thing to say, but still true.
