I also want to add that i have a good friend who has as severe a case as you can get of borderline personallity disorder and as bad as you can get case of alxoholism. I have on 3 separate occosaions, when she was on a prolonged period of distress and rage which is always virtually impossible to moderate in anything but a prolonged time frame talked her into starng at the tv snow (sound off) and calm down to fully normal and calm in five minutes of looking at the snow.
She also has been in one of these extreme BPD moods two oher imes when we tried he snow, but was drunk, and it only moderated her a bit, but she didnt have the presence of mond o stare at it except for a minute or two , she is very uncooperative when drunk. But today she was in the same very drunk , very borderline personaliy caused distraught state, and she finally cooperated in a more prolonged looking directly at the snow, Before she did it she was as bad as she ever gets, , throwing things around her apartment with great force, speaking of suicide, irrational, very disurbed and unhappy for a half hour Id estimate. and the whole borderline gamut. It took a while, maybe twenty minutes of her first staring at the snow for five minutes, then intermittently, and she always ihad it in her peripheral vision and voila, she calmed down , began smiling again, speaking in a happy friendly tone . She was like a normal person except of course she was still inebriated. This was a grade A , blue plate special, miracle because in all the many many times I have been with her in this super distraught drunken rage, she simply does not return to normal until after she sleeps.

    Yes this makes sense!!

I love listening to a TV channel with NO AUDIO that has the MIC POT OPEN BUT MIC TURNED OFF... (On a system with 'SMART SOUND',it produces a WAVE type sound (Up and down) its very relaxing!

I find listening to the static to be irritating and have found it makes it less effective that to look at it with the sound off.. However pure listening to it does have beneficial effect.
