That's the only reason Imperials scum are sticking their noses in Libya business. The west is not interested in fighting either side they want to get BP back in asap One thing we can be sure of now though, SAS suck at peace keeping hah. The team consisted of a few diplomats (MI6) but they are not wanted by the rebels, thank the gods the people of Libya are smart enough to not be the western puppets. These are real men, unlike some of the spineless men chasing after tail I see at the super market on a daily bases in my own country.
Nope, not like the west could for once use a popular amount of unrest to for once on a country be able to call out murder on its citizens, especially in regards to how it's being handled. More people died in 2 days in Libya that died in every other Arab nation put together so far. It's not like we might be taking a principled stance on something that would be impossible not to. Not like the US on its part gets near none of it's oil from Libya while most goes to Europe, and regardless of where it goes, and on their part it's not like Libya is only the world's 13th largest oil production and Saudi Arabia by itself has enough reserve capacity to make up 3 Libya's. Nope.
That's a lie, the perfect example of this is since the fighting has started oil by the barrel has been going up and so has gas prices, I should know I live in the US since a week or so ago pump prices have shot up a dollar even more in other states.
Oil prices rise because of speculators on the stock market as it always does. There is in fact no difference in the supply of oil between now and 3 weeks ago. Anytime anything happens in the Mid-east, even in Tunisia and Yemen which produce little oil and don't control something like the Suez Canal the price would skyrocket. If you're gonna call it a lie learn some basic economics and the operation of trade markets.
"Nope". Like Sudan and Rwanda. Basic economics: The oil market is tight with ongoing rising demand in developing economies. Any prolonged disruption even in Libya with its superior crude will have an upward pull on prices. This is what many traders are saying now. Gadhafi's has promised a long war which the west may well get. In any case whats is the exit strategy. More uncertainty. The oil market is volatile for many reasons. This war has added yet more volatility. This will be an opportunity for some.
From everything I've been reading, it's France moving in on Libya for the most part. We're just helping them get it. Not that I think we should be over there at all, and I disagreed before we moved in (Minds have changed in the last week...), but I don't think we'll be ale to afford a true takeover.
. That kind of indiscriminate killing from the air could finally force Western nations to impose a no-fly zone. At this point, however, such a zone seems largely irrelevant because it would take weeks to implement
