So like say I get into an argument with someone at an apartment party. Then we both agree to go outside and fight in the grass. and say the police show up while we are fighting. If we both do not wanna press charges will we still get in trouble?
might be disturbing the peace or something? i would just take off though. do you plan on fighting someone soon lol?
hmmm that sounds to be a reasonable way to end an argument... as long as there are no guns or knives lol... when I fought the police just egged us on... probably caught them on a good night though
I have gotten in public fights before but never caught. I just wanna make sure I do not go to jail if I get caught. yeah I read about disturbing the peace and it depends on the place your are at. sometimes it is no criminal record and just a fine like a traffic ticket and sometimes it is. and it depends on the officer if he wants to charge with it or not. some officers are strict and some not. so it is all luck. but yeah on wikipedia it says fighting can be disturbing the peace. it is tempting to fight sometimes but if I got caught and had to pay a fine it would not be worth it. so avoiding fighting is a good idea.
why fight in public when you can do it in the comfort of your own home and ya know, break the good china ?
Did you really start this thread with "So like"?!?!?!?! Awful grammar! As for fighting, it all depends on where you live. Could get disturbing the peace or drunk in public or a disorderly. The possibilities are endless...just all depends on how far the potato is stuck up the cop's ass
Macho posturing. A lot of places you can get charged with assault whether there's an accuser or not. I don't know about your local laws, and you should inquire with somewhere better than hipforums for legal advice. If you're fighting for longer than about 45 seconds you're doing something very wrong, and will likely get knifed trying to prove yourself drunkenly some night.
aren't you a bit old for fighting on the grass? you should be fighting in front of pubs anyhoo, very few things that begin with F should be done in public.. including fighting
It's really up to the police. Disturbing the peace? Disorderly Conduct? Drunk and Disorderly? It wouldn't go far-but they could mess up your life for a few days. If they 2 of you were fighting and no one else is around and you both don't want to press charges they would probably drop it. But if a large crowd gathered-they might get excited. Also if one of you were beaten up a lot more than the other. Also if it looked like the fight would continue (you both yelling at each other while the police are investigating) once they left they may take you in.
I think where I live, unless someone presses charges, it's just dropped. But I could see getting "disturbing the peace" citations, depending on where you were and who you knew. I could probably get away with fighting in town, because I know the cops and it's a small town, but I wouldn't try it or suggest it. lol
if the police want to charge you with something, they will. if you have to fight outside, why not use the back yard?
if the backyard is a option then of course. but at an apartment party that is not an option. yeah some small apartments around here pack in like 20 people for a party. nah some fights can last up to 10min. you would be surprised by the technical striking and cardio of some of the top level street fighters around here. fights around here stay standing. it usually is a bare knuckle boxing match. and it is an agreed fight. these street fighters can knock out plenty of trained fighters. also lots of pro boxers and mma fighters live and grew up around here. a lot of fighting talent in the area I live. usually when two people agree on a fight there is no knife involved. that is very very rare around here. and there is a lot of crime around here. if someone knives someone in a street fight then the person is pretty much dead. everyone in the crowd of people would chase and tackle the knife guy and stomp him. same with biting too. if someone started doing cheap shit the crowd would jump in and mess the biter up.
Find a nice isolated location where you two can settle your differences without fear from the cops, or some fool with a cell phone camera capturing the event for the 11:00 o’clock news or posting it on youtube making you an overnight sensation Hotwater
My brother almost got expelled for this...he fought some kid in a field and some idiot videotaped it because half the school showed up. That was when he was 16 and "invincible" and thought starting a fight club was a good idea
haha youtube. I remember watching kimbo in his backyard fights. then a couple of years later he is a pro mma fighter. I was like wtf. how the heck. his street fights were nothing special. he is not sloppy but still nothing great. there are street fighters around here that could beat him. yeah i always wanna put some of my fights on youtube. most of the time there is no video camera around but a few of my fights have been taped. but I was the winner and it was taped by some other kids camera and I told him to put it on youtube but he never did. kind of mad because I looked good but whatever.
Peace charges, noise charges, public endangerment charges, public intoxication charges, charges for anything you have on you, charges for any weapons or things that could be USED as a weapon that you might have, wether deadly(knives, guns, sticks, etc) or dangerous (anything you have in your pocket) and just about any other charges you can think of. There's no shortage of potential charges. And depending on where you are, OR if they can make your fighting a felony (by jurisdiction, specific location, etc) even if the other person doesn't want to press charges, they could still press charges against both of you on behalf of whatever governmental branch's law you're breaking. Not to mention how disrespectful it is to start shit with ANYONE at someone elses place. You call attention to their party (possible providing to minors, possible charges, depending on the location, for providing a PLACE to provide to minors, possible fuged warrants for noise, pot "smell", suspicion of whatever they feel like, and generally putting their place of residence on the polices mind and thus in legal danger then and in the future). I don't know what kind of hosts you have there, but I'd be moving your asses out of my place, and my fucking neighborhood, with any means necessary, before you called police attention to MY area. You wanna fight, YOU got a house. It's a bad idea to shit where you eat, but you sure as fuck won't shit where I eat. You make me feel like a fool for advocating the right of all legal adults to consume what they want when where and how they want. /rant
but what if they hurt themselves if they fall on the ground :sunny: im joking emmm.. i dont know how strict it is where you live. but here you'd probably just get a warning. i hate seeing fights tho. ugh its horrible.
Well that obviously didn't work too well. The first rule of fight club is you do not talk about fight club. The second rule of fight club is rather similar to the first.
