I voted for syrup, but only because that's what I always end up using. I remember the powder being insanely wonderful though. I even remember eating it straight. lol I should get some, sometime.
I was just drinking some 10min ago and then I was thinking in my head what I liked more powder or syrup. then I decided to come on here and make it a thread.
i like my chocolate milk premixed. but i'd like to try powder in cold milk. i don't really like the syrup because i DO like it, drink to much of it, and get the shits
I like either... I usually get HERSHEYS CHOCOLATE SYRUP and mix it to the flavour I like Its getting hard to find PRE-MIXED chocolate milk WITHOUT CARRAGEENAN IN IT!! (Quite bad and should be avoided) Carrageenan: The Natural Ingredient You Should Ban from Your Diet - Prevention.com THIS CRAP HAS NO BUSINESS BEING IN ANYTHING!!!!!!
I like both, both are good in their own way and I will be happy with either. I especially like the premixed tho. One thing that disappoints me is that it's hard to find Banana milk powder anymore...it can be found but it's real uncommon and nestle doesn't seem to make it anymore. They used to have the powder and premixed bottles of banana milk, can't remember if they had syrup too but I believe so. Banana milk is my favorite. You can make your own syrup by making a thick sugar syrup and adding banana flavoring to it. You gotta tweak the amount of banana flavoring to get it right but I used to keep some in a squeeze bottle in the fridge. A little yellow food coloring helps for authenticity and seems to make it taste different but I think it's just a mind thing.
I don't drink chocolate milk these days because of the sugar content, and the fact that I try to keep my dairy consumption to a minimum, but there is no better chocolate milk than the stuff that comes already prepared in a glass bottle. In particular, I am thinking of the chocolate milk made by a local dairy called Pittsford Farms, which makes the best chocolate milk I have ever tasted. Chocolate milk made with powder or syrup SUCKS!!
I used to actually think that this was how it worked when I was little. I thought strawberry milk came from pink cows.
powdered is so much more flexible and useful then syrup. it's not limited to milk and not limited to being used by itself. and why is the op's sig image the storage unit boxcar of the svls (sacramento valley live steamers) in hagan park in the rancho cordova suburb of sacramento california.
