Not even close to being helpful... weird charges (including a random charge of 140 buckaroos[it was fixed with much inconvenience and time]). And I know someone who had weird charges on their card from China.

The danger of paying with alertpay is that you have to use your real information and with Liberty Reserve, you don't. Then your alertpay records are stuck with that vendor and if they are ever arrested for what they're doing, your name and info will show up via alertpay if they dig that deeply into it. With LR you can use all fake info... for now at least. Ask your vendor to take LR if they don't and use PGP if it is available. If they dont' use it, ask them if they will consider it. Centregold is slow and pricey and has shitty, shitty service. Try Velaexchange.com if you insist on buying with a credit card. I've heard good things. You can buy for 0% fee at www.aurumxchange.com by bank transfer and www.wm-center.com is always good but again pricey. You can find more exchangers on the liberty reserve website.
