1) I would get a spore print as you can make 4-6 syringes per print. As for where I would get it from sporelab or ralphster. 2) If you are hell bend on one of those two strains I would go with the golden teacher. I never had good results with the B+ strain (small yield) 3) 1/2 pint wide mouth jars or 1 pint wide mouth jars are pretty much the only two you can use for BRF cakes. All other sizes are narrower at the opening and your cakes will not slide out (you will be forced to break your cakes up to get them out of all other jar sizes) 4) You use roughly 1-2 cc per jar so 5-10 jars out of a 10cc syringe or 6-12 out of a 12 cc syringe. 5) 1/4 to 1/2 a CC per hole 6) That is entirely up to you and your ability to provide optimal conditions and nutrition to your fungi. I wouldn't expect more then a few dried ounces if you are making up BRF cakes as it is the easiest but the least productive method of growing. If I were you I would start with bird seed as per my grain tek found here: http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=416240&f=118 This method coupled with grain 2 grain transfers and spawning bulk substrate I routinely get 2-3 pounds dry per syringe.
1. spores101.com is fine, I ordered and it was good stuff 2. either one is fine for a beginner 3. 1/2 pint 4. Depends, you can inocculate with very little and get like 20 jars per syringe. But then you will have to wait double for the mycelium to grow well enough. About 8 jars is what I got 5. little more than 1CC spread out on each side of the jar. So 4 .25CC's 6. Totally depends on how well you do, and how many flushes you get. I have no idea the average though
Spores101 has a huge variety of edible mushrooms for growing, and exotic species for microscopy research. You can get 5$ off by entering code " hipforums " on any order above 14$. This code also works at mushbox mushroom kits and substrates
They are also a complete and utter rip off. $32 for a print? Fuck that...... Id like to kick the owner of the site in the groin and piss on him.
