    Hiii everybody.

I stalked these forums a fair bit before having my dreads done, and found so much of the info I found here so helpful, but never actually said a word. SO, a whooole year later, I've finally come back to say thanks and share a few pics :D

A dreadied friend of mine helped me with backcombing and twist'n'ripping, I dyed my hair beforehand and blow dried it, then we sectioned off my hair. The rubber bands were removed immediately after backcombing and palm rolling.

About a month afterwards I had another session by myself just backcombing the dreads a second time to get them tighter. I was constantly palmrolling and fiddling for the first 4 months or so, then they started to shrink up nicely.

More recently I've mainly been root rubbing and trying to get the tips to knot up properly. Also trying to work in a few of the larger lumps and get the fly-aways sorted. They seem to be going through something of a growth spurt at the moment!

Anyway, here are a few pics from different points :)

another midlander, because we are superior in dreadedness to the other arbitrarily and poorly defined areas of the UK.

Most of them were silver beads I took off a bracelet I bought in a charity shop, a couple were beads I bought from haberdasheries :) Thank you! I love them but, alas, my dreads are too thick to accommodate them now. I've been meaning to make some of my own from wire and/or polymer clay just to see what I can do with it... Perhaps I'll make a few and put up some pics to see what people think :)
