so, what do you think? I must say that I have fallen in love with his films like "Talk to her", "All about my mother", "Bad education"... have you seen?
I've seen "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown," and "Talk to her." I would like to see more, I didn't think I would like "Talk to her," as it's got quite grim subject matter, but I loved it, the way he made the relationship between the guy who's the "hero" and the nursing assistant so human and so believable was brilliant.
I just love the way, how he plays not maybe so much with main heros, but with the person who is watching them and expecting that he understands all, and then in one moment he makes everything change and you stay there just like an idiot, he may kill the main hero and prove that he was not that important at all, uhhhh... just love him!!!
i love pedro almodovar's moviesthe best one to me is 'la flor de mi secreto', i just adore marisa paredes
Yeah I knew I was using the wrong word when I said the guy in "Talk to Hiim" was a hero.....it isn't like that at all....it's like looking through a window into someones front room, you can't see who the major players in the scene are, you can only see the small view you are given.......
I think Almodovar is really playing with that person who is watching, he knows too well what and how we understad what we see, that is the reason why he can make a joke of us
I love Almodovar! I mean, true I've only seen Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, but from what I've read about his other movies he's awesome. Not to mention the strides he made in Spanish cinema.
_I love Pedro Almodovar & I am pretty sure I've seen all of his movies. Other movies that I am pretty sure are also available in English & that you might want to check out are: 'Carne Tremula' ~ 'Live Flesh' 'Tacones Lejanos' ~ 'High Heels' 'La Flor de mi Secreto' ~'The Flower of my Secret'
