I was thinking about all the teachers I've had throughout my post secondary education and thankfully I've had more reasonable teachers than more idiots. The worst teacher I've had was an upper class twit British teacher of Philosophy. He had absolutely no personality and all he did was show notes to the class that he made from the textbook with no examples and no commentary. He was also creepy, he took pictures of the students to get to know their names. I finally decided to drop it after he gave us the essay assignment which was more like a graduate thesis.
sophmore year in high school. i stood up and said somethings that was very wrong about this class. she was a horrible teacher. at the time my mom didnt believe me tell she called her and then she was hung up on. hahaha. most of my teachers were good people. although every year i had a bad one. same with the few years in college. some real fucking assholes. and some good people. school education has never been fun for me really.
The worst teacher I ever had was the last teacher I ever had. I always had a real hard time in school, my average grades were D's and F's and I was really trying hard to understand what they were trying to teach me. The problem was I have a visual memory and learning only from books was confusing as hell. So anyways I ended up going to a school with really was not the best for me, it was for dropouts and troubled teens, which I was neither, but the teachers were there to make sure you graduated. All was going pretty well for the first few months until I started once again having trouble. I was in a class not totally understanding what the teacher was talking about he got frustrated with me and this is exactly what he said "I am sensing that you are not even fucking trying at all John" I told him to fuck off and I am done with this shit. I walked out and never went back.
Last year one of the core module IT lecturers was appalling, she had no idea what she was doing/teaching and yet EVERYONE had to pass this module. Needless to say, everyone ended up complaining about her, kind of felt bad for her in the end...
I had one teacher that just read PowerPoint slides to us for an hour. Really, why don't you just email us the slides and we can read them ourselves? Did I really drive 45 minutes in rush hour traffic for this?
My microeconomics professor this semester easily takes the cake. The dude introduced himself to the class by letting us know he was single with free time, insulted the masculinity of his Indian TA (who was sitting in the class at the time unbeknownst to the prof.), and then launched into some bullshit about how economics isn't necessarily about money. I've only gone to turn in the homework and take the tests because on top of all that other stuff he manages to spend WEEKS on single chapters of the text, which take me a total of an hour and a half to read and comprehend.
not a bad teacher he was a cool guy and all its just that he gave up on me half way through the school year i guess its because i never had my work done ever he was like "will?! WILL?!" i was day dreaming then he was like "do you got your work done?" then i was like "oh OH .... no" then he was like "well to be honest with you i gave up on you like half way through the year" then he fed me donuts and bagels for the rest of the year
The worst teacher I ever had was my philosophy teacher in my senior year in high school. Instead of getting into philosophical discussions, we had to parrot the teacher on various assignments and we were told that it was her way or the highway. Philosophy is open discussions, damn it!
In grade school this pedo would rest his nuts on my desk.. he pissed me off to the point when he would lean on the podium, I put 3in one oil on the floors so it would slip under him, and it smashed his fucking fingers..
i've had them all. i've been perved on by a pedo, hit by a gym teacher, verbally assaulted by a nazi, lied about by an ''i.t'' teacher, ill informed by a lazy shit, suspended by molly menopause, made an example of for no reason and been guilty through association. it's easier to name the teachers i've liked. there's two. me and my girlfriend would hang out with them both and drink coffee and smoke cigarettes on the school property. they were young, smart, english teachers of course.
I had a Chemistry teacher who gave a girl a detention for not smiling in her class. In a bad way not a good way. She was a total ****.
the worst i had was a suspension from some wanker who said i was touching up my gilfriend one lunch time. granted we were sitting in this area we weren't supposed to be in, but we were on opposite sides of the hall and i was reading some shit magazine. he kicked me out of the block, in front of my form tutor, who tried to tell him we were there because of registration. even still, i flipped him off and in the office he lied which caused the suspension.
I had a drunk as an IT teacher. He failed me in IT as well as everyone else in his class. Funny thing is, I teach IT now. XD
I've had some pretty shitty teachers. I got busted sophomore year with a pipe on me during a code red lock down and my biology teacher (which was the class I was in at that time) held that against me for the rest of the year. It came to the point where he actually stopped grading my work and called my mother in to say I wasn't showing up or doing the work...but the second he turned his back, my mom lifted his pile of papers only to reveal every paper I ever submitted underneath, ungraded! Its safe to say he got fired after that
well, it depends on defenition of 'worst' type 1: Over-zelous dickhead maths teacher. casually and calmly "oh, well that's a detention then isn't it?" he was hated by everyone. if you forgot 3 pieces of equipment you got a detention (e.g pen, pencil & calculator) he used to set tests very lesson where no-one ever got above 50% and gave us year 10 work in year 7. the other teachers thought we were joking when we said we already did it in years ago type 2: clumsy female. feel sorry for her and a bit embarrassed. she wasn't strict or anything, but she seemed a bit dopey and I proved her wrong a couple of times (she insisted she was right) on easy stuff (velocity time graphs). but most of my teachers were awesome. oh i forgot- the worst teacher I've ever had. BORING AS HELL. she was an overweight german teacher (we were forced to take german. none of us wanted to be there). she would spend more time marking tests in the lesson than actually doing them. ugh. her favourite pasttime was talking really slow when marking tests on a friday afternoon and blaming us if it took till after the bell to finish. prick.
My current Philosophy lecturer is a nice guy and everything...but he doesn't teach well. He copies all his lectures from Wikipedia, and they involve him reading his notes out very, very slowly and expecting us to copy word-for-word. He will stop in the middle of a sentence so people's pens can keep up. I could easily just sit at home and write up some notes from Wikipedia without his "help". 2 hours of dictation really sucks.
The worst teacher I ever had was a math teacher in high school. I swear this man could not teach for his life depended on it. Everyone that ever had him hated him.He would give us problems to do and give crappy examples on how to solve them. Come test day only the suck ups passed. I on the other hand would fail just about everyone of this test. Expect for the few that I could do with out some problems. Even then I would pass them by the skin of my teeth. When I thought I was done with him for good I got him AGAIN!! Needless to say I was so happy when I graduated and no longer had to deal with him. Though I heard that they fired him. I was like thank god no more students have to put up with him!!
I've had good teacher until this year, 2 teachers I have just are appalling. My Physics teacher at the moment. He's just a fuckin dick he blabs on about his damn family all class then makes us stand in front of the class for the whole class period if we rest our heads on our desks while writing seemingly unending notes. Then he assigns 4-5 work sheets a night and doesn't explain anything. I swear he's so high off his fucking ass he doesn't know what year it is. He just reeks of weed. Not even in a good way. Then there was my math teacher from last trimester, He didn't explain anything at all, and in math normally you should cause no one's good at it. then when you ask for help he doesn't help you and talks about the starts instead? yea. Stars. Oh, and the fact that he acts overly superior to everyone.
In my first semester of graduate school for Mathematics, my Mathematical Analysis professor was this hyper woman from Albania. She did not know how to speak English well enough to allow her writing on the chalkboard coincide with what she spoke. That became a really big problem as the mathematics got more difficult. She also had unrealistic deadlines and used passive-aggressive techniques to get us to work faster (not work better) and hand in things early. It was creepy. And, last but not least, in mathematics, notation is very important. That is, correct notation is very important! However, as we all know, the cursive letter "n" looks like a print letter "m." In some mathematical notation, it is CRITICAL to use the two letters together and knowing which is which is the key to knowing what the mathematics says. However, she would periodically switch from cursive to a mix of cursive and print to print, and back weekly. It drove me NUTTTTSSSS. Just imagine that. Seriously!
Some twunt who took me for both GCSE English Language and Literature. She was shit, devoted her time to the brainy lot and ignored us thick pricks. She predicted me EE and I got DD. Did a retake and got A*. See you next Tuesday.
